The offer is:
I give: Todd Gurley
I get: Stefon Diggs, Terrelle Pryor, Carson Wentz
My roster:
QB: Philip Rivers, Blake Bortles, Sam Bradford
RB: Todd Gurley, Devonta Freeman, Terrence West, Bobby Rainey, Zach Zenner, Justin Forsett
WR: Michael Crabtree, Michael Thomas, Golden Tate, Sammy Coates, Torrey Smith, Kenny Stills, Brashad Perriman, Eli Rogers, Corderrelle Patrerson
TE: Travis Kelce, Austin Hooper, Jesse James
My thoughts:
Don't do it. Trading a stud for a pile of second and third tier players is not a recipe for success. I'm not low on Gurley at all. I believe he finishes as a top ten RB this year, even in the terrible LA offence. I think he will be an elite player for years to come.
However, this team is bad and I don't see it turning around easily with such a dearth of talent. Both Diggs and Pryor have WR1 physical skills and could be very valuable pieces if they reach their potential in a favourable offence. Wentz could be a QB1 until my preschooler goes to college. The value could be there, I just don't know what to do with this team; as is it's just good enough to play its way out of a premium pick in a loaded draft. I would love some outside opinions.
