Trade King Felix for Ryan Howard (1 Viewer)

I got offered this trade in a 10 team head to head league where the highest payouts are total points (not best record). I think I hae a lot of pitching and could use some hitting, but wanted to get some others opinions. Here is my roster

c: Posada

1b: Cantu (berkman)

2b: Weeks (roberts)

ss: H. Ramierez

3b: Wright

OF: Kemp

OF: BAy

OF: Hunter Pence

DH: Adam Dunn

and then you start 4 pitchers (usually tilted towards pitchers with 2 starts in the week). I have:

Felix Hernandez, Chris Carptenter, Johan Santana, Cliff Lee, Barry Zito, Brad Penny, Carl Pavano, Derek Lowe, Livan Hernandez, Johnny Cueto

So I have alot of pitchers, and I can only start 4 each week. Does my depth at pitching allow me to do this trade? Last year Ryan Howard was the 8th best scorer in our league with 499 pts, compared to Felix as the 6th best pitcher with 424 points.

He has also offered Howard, Anibal Sanchez, and Chris Young for Santana, Zito and Berkman, but Im pretty sure that one is horrible...

With your team, I'd do that trade. The back end of your rotation is no way going to continue pitching as well as they have (Penny, Zito and Pavano), but will be serviceable. With Lee back, you'll have three #1 pitchers and can make up a decent staff still.

Berkman is going to be a huge question mark all year as I'm sure he'll spend more time on the DL, and Cantu is not going to put up anywhere near Howards numbers.

Your pitching is fine. I would make this trade in a heart beat.

With this league set-up (4 pitchers, weird...), I'd definitely do this deal. I bet there are some gem pitchers available on the wire now and in the future that will help you make up any slip-ups your back-end guys have.

I would stand pat.

In a shallow league, it's tougher to find ace pitching than good hitting. And your other pitchers just have too many question marks to give up your only true fantasy ace just to displace Cantu. If Cantu or Berkman got injured and were going to miss 2 or 3 months, I would say do the deal, but what Howard brings you over their production is going to be less than what you are going to lose going from Felix to your #5 IMO.
