Trade Proposal for Jordy Nelson (1 Viewer)

goldenreceivers

Footballguy
I need some depth at WR and want to target Jordy.  Here is the proposal:

  • Give: Mariota and Karama or DMartin
  • Get: Jordy and CPalmer (who I would drop and head to the waiver wire)
The proposed trade partner has Fournette on a bye this week and their QBs on a bye in Wk 10. So they need bye week help.

Would you offer/accept this trade?  Which RB would you offer...Kamara or Martin?

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Our league is 12-team redraft, 0.5 PPR, standard scoring w/ 6 pts for passing TD league.  We start QB, RB, WR, TE, 2 flex (R/W/T), DST and K.

My team (3-4) is:

QB: Smith, Mariota, Dalton

RB: Hunt, Ajayi, Kamara, Martin

WR: KAllen, DParker, Sanu

TE: Kelce, Witten

DST: Detroit

K: Bryant

Their team (5-2) is:

QB: Wentz, Carr, Palmer (out)

RB: Fournette, Mixon

WR: Nelson, Gin, DAdams, Amendola

TE: Hooper, Dixon

DST: Seattle, Tennessee

K: Vinatieri

Yeah, I would deal Mariota/Martin, keep onto Kamara. However, this trade seems a bit risky, considering that Rodgers is gone (at least till Week 15), so Jordy probably won't be putting up big numbers, especially with some of the teams that he'll face for the rest of the year. However, with the targets that he'll most likely get, you could go for it. Otherwise, I would counter it by swapping Jordy for Ginn Jr - reason being is that Brees is slowly passing more towards him. Snead is battling injuries, Coleman isn't utilized as much (only two good games so far), and Michael Thomas is the only other reliable WR - but you could argue that Ingram is taking some of those receptions. Still, Ginn has been impressive past two games.

Either way, you could go ahead with the trade and stick it with Jordy. Other hand is swapping for Ginn. But I'd definitely say go for it.

Yes, I would pursue this deal and trade away Mariota and Martin. Kamara is also an RB2 type player in a .5 PPR league, in a better offensive environment, and a nice schedule for RBs the rest of the way. If Ingram ever goes down, you've got a stud RB1. You're banking on past talent with Nelson but I like getting him to give you some WR depth and hoping for some competent improvement from Hundley.

If you're going to immediately drop Palmer, and the other owner has no real need for Mariota since he was Wentz and Carr, then why even include the QBs in the trade?  Just do Martin for Jordy straight up.

Why even roster 3 QBs when you only start 1?

I wouldn't touch this deal. I think Jordy takes a severe hit without Rodgers and I would not want to trade any major pieces for him. I would target a different WR for that price.

I agree with wlwiles - don't know why you would take Palmer and don't see why he would want Mariota at all. I agree with Warhogs, as well, and would not do that trade.  Oh,wait, now I see , He drafted QBs that have the same bye.  You could try Mariota for one of his WRs, but I don't think he would do it.  ** Duh, sorry I didn't read your post carefully enough.  Martin would be the one I would trade.
