Trading for Jamar Chase (1 Viewer)

Need trade advice. 10 team, 2QB Keeper league. PPR.

Can keep forever if desired. We rotate keepers in the following pattern each year 3-4-5-6-5-4-3 and up and down again. We are in the 4 going down year of this pattern. After keepers, we start our draft in round 5 this year, round 4 next year then back to round 5 and up going forward towards the 6 keeper season. For all intents and purposes, I have all draft picks available to trade.

The Jamar Chase owner has made him available. What would you trade for him, and is he worth breaking the bank for? My keepers with him would be Mahomes, Lamb, Chase, and Bowers. Without him they'd be Mahomes, Lamb, Bowers, and one of Cook, Hill, Hall, Hubbard, or McLauren. This would be a picks package for Chase type of deal. He doesn't want players in return.

The thought of being able to keep Chase until his legs give out seems like it's worth the offer and even the slight overpay. Obviously, I don't want to overpay with my first offer but want it to be fair.

Would 3 5th rounders be too much? The 5th round would be the first round this year of open drafting, the 2nd round next year, and then the 1st round again the following year.

Realize that this also includes Hall, Hill, Cook, McL, or Hubbard in the deal because you are losing them too.

The offer at face value seems ok as you are losing one pick each year which isn't much. I am just not sure how being down a pick affects your team year after year.

The Chase owner trades a ****-ton and has won a lot recently because he sacrificed his picks for the best players. Dude had Chase, Jefferson, Barkley, Josh Allen last year in his keeper mix. I figured that if I grabbed a stud, then I can mimic that to an extent. I can also turn one or two of those guys you mention into draft picks if I can find a buyer for them to use as one of their keepers.

You know your league and if you can wheel and deal as the keeper numbers eb and flow to take advantage then do it.
I offered the 2025 5th, 2026 5th, and 2027 6th for Chase and he countered with 2025 5th and 2026 5th for Jefferson instead.

That seems like a pretty good deal still, no?
