I'm not sure if this has ever been posted here before. I remember stumbling across it a year or so back and had bookmarked it. Cleaning out my bookmarks I came back across it.

This is a 2 year old link and I've tried tracking down a newer video about this kid. All I can say is "WOW". And, for all of the Toby Gerhart haters.....I think he's white.

It'd be interesting to see if this speed and elusiveness translates 2 years later or when he gets in high school. Just insane.

Prepare to be blown away

dude's tight.

Sick moves and amazingly seems to run with power considering he is the smallest kid on the field in pop warner...unfrotunately for him he is the smallest kid on the field already. I doubt even guys like Warrick Dunn were that small compared to the competition at such a young age. I was that size playing football then too, and even was captain of the football team in Jr. High. I elected not to play in H.S. and when the H.S. coach approached me to ask why, my reply was something like..."I am 5'2 and 93 lbs. Do you honestly think that I can survive, let alone play at this level"?? He just laughed and said "no worries". I played ice hockey throughout H.S. and graduated at 125lbs. My size was already a detriment in a sport where "the little guy" has a chance in; no way I could have played football.

He can definitely run but I'm unimpressed with his blocking ability. That's going to hold him up at the next level.

I was also reading on another board that he's suspected of using PEJ's (performance enhancing juiceboxes). That is unconfirmed of course, but I think the video speaks for itself.

Lacks ideal size for the NFL, but has elite athleticism. Fantastic change of direction, but tries to make too many moves instead of taking what the defense gives him. Too quick to look for the corner; won't find it nearly as often in the NFL.

Probably a best fit as a return guy and change of pace RB.

:topcat:

I Played with guys like that in Pee Wee too.

They only got a few inches taller, a few seconds slower, and now are oil burner repairmen

Cody Paul plays Pop Warner football for the Los Alamitos Griffins in California. Rumor has it he's already committed to USC Class of 2015

Hahah, I was thinking the same thing. In all seriousness, the entire team was really impressive, not just Amazing!Kid. The catch-and-pitch play at the 2-minute mark was just awesome.

He probably hasn't done anything as exciting as the other kids have started catching up to him. There are "studs" like this all over. My little brother did the same type of stuff in junior high. But now we've got the innerweb for everyone to post those videos on.Not saying he isn't a great player for his age, but I highly doubt he'll be in the NFL some day.

It's highly doubtful that he will be in the NFL (it's that hard to get in), but it's still pretty cool to watch. I mean, he's not just performing well.....in those videos he's DOMINATING. It's not even close as to who is the best player on the field.Maybe I should've been a bit more clear. I haven't tried very hard to find a 2nd video, so I really don't know if it exists or not. From that page, I browsed the related videos and didn't see anything that stood out to me.

Shhh!! Trying to keep him on the down-low, in my big-money main league, he's not eligible to be drafted to my scout/developmental roster for another 2 years.

He plays QB now correct?
Yes. He's a high school QB now, although his Maxpreps page still lists him as a RB.http://www.maxpreps.com/athletes/SbkAXOAX-...e-cody-paul.htm
lol. When I was watching the video, I thought he's a white kid he'll be moved to QB. Very impressive video.

My son just turned 1. He's well above the 100% in height and weight. He's already running and knows which arm to carry the ball in. I'm going to set him up in the back yard with a football and a tire hanging from a tree to throw through. I'll get the video and post it up on youtube.
