Coach Tom Cable revealed Wednesday that Trevor Scott has overtaken Matt Shaughnessy to be the Raiders' starting right end.
With Quentin Groves replacing Scott at weak-side linebacker, Cable believes this alignment puts the Raiders' best 11 on the field together. Shaughnessy still should play often (Oakland only carried three ends), but won't be a reliable IDP. Scott is a major sleeper, and a double-digit sack candidate.
I thought they loved Shaunessy last year and were thrilled with his play counting on him to make a leap into a solid starter this year?? Did he not do so hot in training camp/preseason or what?
Rotoworld said he was a pass rusher who is poor with the run.
Anyone have any insight on this situation. Is Scott now a DE as there has been a lot of fantasy discussion on his label at DE vs. LB.
