Didn't want to pollute the Hines Ward thread with this trivia Q...
Non HoFers with seven include: Gary Clark, Ochocinco, Anthony Miller, Harold Carmichael, Eric Martin, and Sterling Sharpe.
But the beauty of this query is the following trivia question.
Most number of times leading his team in receiving yards is (obviously) Jerry Rice, who did it 15 times. Who did it the second-most times (13)?
This prompted me to run some numbers.Ward has led his team in receiving yards 7 times (one of those was a tie, but I'll count it). As you might guess, that's not super-strong for a Hall of Famer, but it's not totally embarrassing either. There are some mostly-post-merger WRs with fewer: Charlie Joiner (5), Art Monk (4), John Stallworth (4), Lynn Swann (4). Michael Irvin only has 8.But the thread topic is Ward and Plaxico Burress was the focus for a while and seems like many think it's been Santonio Holmes and Mike Wallace currently. That kinda bugs me about him.
