Trivia question (1 Viewer)

Just streaming here...

not likely a rookie record in terms of any kinds of overall totals, since Rice's rookie season was no big deal and Fitz didn't compare to Boldin's rookie year.

Bush has only played one year so it's not overall totals or streaks... Bush having played just one year limits what it could be in the pros to something that's probably obscure.

not one game TD records because Fitz has never had more than 2 TDs in a game.

Could be something related to college...

Hmmmm.............

Bush had an 11-catch game in week 5 (Horn's best ever was 10). Tony had a 14-catch a couple years ago, and Fitz had a 13-catch game (Boldin's best was 12). I'll say they each hold their team's single game reception record, since the others have had some huge games too.

Not related to college.

Nope.

If it helps (in case it's not clear), this is pretty much the whole list of people with this record. (It's more like all the people from X college and less like "some people with 100 catches in a season).

Just an aside, but I think T.O. broke the 49'ers single game reception record while Rice was still there.

Yeah, I remember now that you mention it. He had a 20+ catch game.

If you go under the premise that everytime you sleep with someone, you've just slept with every sexual partner they've ever had (and every partner they've ever had and so on).

So now that Kim Kardashian and Bush have been linked, Rice, Moss, Harrison, Gonzalez, Fitzgerald and Bush have all had sex with each other.

I think the trick here is to find something wacky about Bush's 2006 season. All the rest have had multiple years in the league. If I can figure out what's unique about Bush last year.

While I'm posting, I'll take a shot in the dark: the only NFL players NOT to have slept with Paris Hilton?

Those six players all hold a similar record. Any guesses as to what it is?
Not sure it's a record. But I'll go with it...Each was a 1st Team College All American. The trick here if I have it right is Rice played 1-AA ball. 2nd try. They all had TDs of 50 yards + as a rookie. That's all the bullets I've got!

He said above it didn't relate to college.Fitz' longest rookie TD was 29 yards.Sorry.

Maybe I'm overanalyzing, but I think this is the key word. I read this as one of two things. Either,A) it's a record that was set by one and broken by the others in different years (i.e. youngest player to X) or

B) an exclusive "club" only these 6 belong to (i.e. the 40/40 club in baseball).

Now, I don't know what the answer is, but maybe this will trigger something in someone.

I'm thinking it's more like the same record, but in different schools, leagues, etc. Most receptions at Marshall is similar to most receptions at Mississippi Valley State...

Understood, not related to college. Although Chase comment: f it helps (in case it's not clear), this is pretty much the whole list of people with this record. (It's more like all the people from X college and less like "some people with 100 catches in a season). threw me off.

All have been consensus FF 1st round draft picks or rated top 5 in their position?

All have chocolate labs?

I think it's probably related to having two prolific receivers on the same team. How about, leading the team in receptions but not in receiving yardage or TDs?

More receptions their first year in the NFL than their last year in college?

Only players to lead their team in receptions but be second in fantasy scoring? Or the other way around?

all led rookies in catches in their rookie seasons?
Can't be something like this. This would mean there would be 30 other players like them; as stated previously, these guys hold a unique record.

I believe that this record pertains to their High School career and their accolades as lettermen in another sport, namely Basketball.

When you say it's an NFL record, does it involve fantasy points scored or is it something I could actually ask Stats Inc. about and they'd consider it an official record?

all six have ranked in the top 10 in the NFL in receptions while averaging less than 13.0 YPC in that season.

edited to add: just noticed Fitz has never had a YPC that low...

my gut still says it is "reception" related.
