Troy Smith Hospitalized with a Tonsil infection, lost 13 lbs last week, should be there for 2 days.

The Ravens play the Bengals to open the week, how does Flacco not get the start? Could be a good pick up and dump to some unsuspecting fish who thinks 250 yards and 2 TDs against Cincinnati portends good things to come.

Also, added reliance on the run game? Ray Rice could get the start and be in line for 25+ touches.

I've got Rice in as a starter for week 1. That defense couldn't catch a cold.

My question is, why doesn't Troy Smith just have his tonsils removed? I had mine removed when I was four because of infections. The worst part of the procedure was a sore throat for about a week, but I got a lot of ice cream out of it.

Troy Smith getting his tonsils removed would be a heck of a lot easier than trying to fight off all of these infections. Now, he's also lost a shot at the starting job.

The Ravens haven't named their starter yet have they? I think Flacco improves each time he plays. That's a good sign, and I think if he is chosen to be the starter, he will continue to get better and better as the season moves on.

they haven't announced the starting QB yet, but Smith really can't win the job if he's not playing.
