True Lies (1 Viewer)

Great underrated movie. I always thought they had a nice set up for a sequel with the Carlos the Jackal/Bill Paxton character where he was a real spy in the first one trying to get to Ahh-nold.

Funny you mention this movie and the strip tease. Saw an interview with Jamie Lee Curtis not to long ago where she freely admitted the scene was heavily touched up. She basically said "I haven't looked liked that for 10 or 20 years. They did great touch up work!" Kind of ruined it for me.

and their husbands... ****less! If they were taking care of business, I'd be out of business if you know what I mean.

True Lies was one of the first laserdiscs with an AC-3 (Dolby Digital) track. I used to do AC-3 HW testing and must have used that disc dozens of times. I haven't seen the movie much since then, but I could probably recite every line back in 1995 or so.

There are a lot worse movies one could get stuck with, forced to watch for testing purposes. True Lies = :banned:

Caught this flick again last night. I couldn't help but think that she had one of the best bodies I've ever seen on film in this scene. I guess this explains why.

Love the chase scene in Washington, especially how they jump all over town. The Mall where they have that great fight in the bathroom may get shut down soon. It is actually up for auction today.

The scene where Arnold steals the police horse and chases the terrorist who steals the motorcycle. Thru an entire hotel including the elevator until the terrorist jumps to the rooftop pool on the next hotel but the horse balks.

The scene where the mall is in Georgetown, he gets the horse in a park 15-20 blocks away, goes to a hotel (not a Marriott) climbs into an elevator that doesn't exist in that hotel, and goes up to the top of a Marriott (that is a couple of miles away across a river in Arlington, VA, with no buildings across the street). Yeah Ahh-nold is good!

But apart from that, everything else in the movie was 100% accurate and believable.

Of course! ;) Just love to nitpick! I live around DC and it is hysterical to see where he is going. I am sure in just about every other movie with a chase scene they do the same thing!

I know what this is. This is an espresso machine! No no wait. Its a sno-cone maker, that's what it is.

Is it a water heater?

Is there anything you'd like to tell me before we start?Yes. I'm gonna kill you pretty soon.
First I'm gonna use you as a human shield, then I gonna kill this guard over there, with the Patterson trocar on the table. Then I was thinking about breaking your neck.

There was talk and rumors of a sequel for many years, but James Cameron recently said after 9/11 they would never make another one. They agreed that making light of terrorism these days would be in very poor taste.

Just think of all the great media we have missed out on because of that stupid attack
