**TRUMP Makes Dessert Chili Recipie!** (1 Viewer)

Footballguy
I'm going to a chili cook off tomorrow and instead of a regular chili I thought I'd bring a dessert instead.  They'll be seven or eight regular chilies so it's not like there won't be variety so I figure why not do something different.

Anyway, anyone have a good recipe?  I found one on the net that I'll make if there are no other suggestions but wanted to check here first as you guys usually come with some tasty choices.  Fire away!

Perhaps, but with all the other beef and bean concoctions it will be a breath of fresh air.  It's actually a small group of us, maybe a dozen, and we eat chili and play poker for a few hours without the wives and kids.  No one will mind a little dessert to top it off.

Sounds kind of disgusting.

"dessert chili, with chocolate rice pudding infused with raisins, garnished with minced mint, and the piece de resistance… Boston baked beans candies, which are actually just peanuts coated in artificially-colored corn syrup."
That's a reason for my query.  I'm hoping for something other than this recipe.

That link sounds horrific.  If you brought that to my chili cook-off I would throw you out.  Chocolate rice pudding is not chili.

Who wudda thunk a thread about dessert would bring out the hostilities of the natives?  This forum never cease to amaze.

Make a pot of chili as requested.

Then spend $10 on assorted Entenmann's for your dessert kick. They have a display case at the end of the aisle.

Y'all have no imagination.  I'm going to make that chocolate-rice mess and I'll report back whether I was booted out of the boys club or not.

You know what we usually have for dessert at the poker parties I attend?

Well, I didn't get run out of town on a rail but that's mostly because the rest of the guys felt pity for me.  The chocolate/rice goop quickly turned into chocolate spackle after it set.  As for the reception, those who tried it agreed it tasted better than it looked and I got points for going outside the box but it was strongly suggested I never do that again.

I did win some money at the poker table and the other chilies were outstanding so the night wasn't a total loss.  Meh, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Desert chili wasn't the worst idea I've ever heard, but it's close.
