TV Has no sound after storm. (1 Viewer)

I'm watching tv the other morning, and out of nowhere there was a huge thunder, and I'm guessing lightning.

The TV flickered, and then the DirecTv box went through setup.

When it started back up, I had picture, but no sound.

The TV speakers work because I can watch Netlix, everything is fine. I just don't have sound

coming from the box. (HDMI cable). Is it possible the TV HDMI port can go bad for audio, but not video ?

I took the box to an extra TV in the house, and it works fine.

Any ideas on what could have happened ?

I've tried a different cable, resetting the HDMI port, and any idea I could find on the internet.

I'm hoping someone on here has an answer.

Troubleshooting 101

Hook another hdmi device (dvd player) into that port and report back

Maybe the HDMI cable took a hit. Swap that out with one from another device and see.
