Hi guys,

Talk to me about Michael Bush. What is his upside and expectations in a 16 team dynasty league?

Thanks for the great show.

Hello Guys,

I heard news that Lasean McCoy came in noticeably better in shape for the recent eagles mini-camp. Reports said he had trimmed down and appeared to add strength. This talk seems to remind me of what I heard about Ray Rice around this time last year. What do you think of his chances to take a big step forward this season?

Also, as a McNabb owner in my dynasty league, I could use a young QB. This year, I am drafting from the 8th and 14th hole. Would you recommend targeting Bradford at 8? My other option is that I have two 1st rounders next year which should be a better class. Take the QB now who will have a year to develop or is the smart play to wait until next year?

Thanks!

I would enjoy hearing people's thoughts on Toby Gerhart for dynasty purposes and for this year. There is some disagreement on the board about what his role may be this year. How do you guys see him fitting in to the offense? Personally, I think if he can block (always a hurdle for rookie backs) he will see a lot of action in third and short as well as third and long, and while he won't replace ADP on the goalline, he will get some opportunities there as well. I don't think the Vikings want ADP to get 350-400 carries, so that means that Gerhart will be getting perhaps 10 carries a week and in TD scoring leagues he could have value sooner than later. What are your thoughts?

Gentlemen:

Great to have you back. Tried paying attention to baseball and pro basketball in your absence. Not good.

Lots of talk about how the Cardinals and the Steelers WANT (or even NEED) to run more.

I'm intrigued by Wells and Mendenhall's talent and opportunity, but I'm not convinced either team has the O-line or the defense to live up to their run-heavy dreams.

Am I wrong to doubt?

Also, what non-playing season signs and signals are YOU looking for that will tell you that these teams can EFFECTIVELY change their offenses?

(1) I've been holding onto Brandon Tate in a dynasty league. Tom Brady said that Brandon Tate has been having a "great offseason." I think Bloom compared Tate to Maclin and/or Harvin in his Top 100 last year. What are your expectations for him, short-term and long-term? Mostly just special teams and splitting time with Holt competing for Moss and Welker's leftovers this year (assuming Welker recovered), or is he a potential breakout candidate this year (particularly in leagues that reward return yardage)?

(2) As a general matter, I always find good value in players who add return yardage to other production because the rankings don't take that into account -- are there any rookies who you would recommend giving a bump to in dynasty leagues that reward return points? Golden Tate? McCluster? Any others?

John Clayton reporting that Michael Turner will be limited to 300 carries this year. You buy it? And Snelling is the only handcuff for Turner, right?

Hey Sig and Cecil. Hope all is well with both of you and your families.

In various dynasty leagues, I am still holding on to the likes of Andre Brown, Gartrell Johnson, Tyrell Sutton, Jalen Parmale and Cory Sheets.

Do any of these guys warrant the roster spots I am using on them?

As you know, I'm a patient man, so I am not expecting immediate returns on any of these guys. 2011 or 2012 fantasy relevance?

Thanks as always for your insights.

Cecil and Sig,

I have a weird question for you tonight. What are some of the worst trade offers you have ever received in your time playing fantasy football? For example, I received an offer today in which I would give up Steve Smith (NYG) and Leon Washington for Limas Sweed and Derrick Williams. Eh, no thanks. Understandably, I laughed my a** off at the offers and promptly rejected them.

So have you received any ludicrous offers in your time and how do you deem it best to deal with these ignorant owners?

Thanks for indulging my unusual question,

Dave

Of all the dynasty rookies, who gets their shot and becomes the Fantasy Football Rookie of the Year?

Also, which two guys do you see emerging in Chicago as far a wideouts.

Cecil, a month or so ago I told you we were just a couple of snowstorms away from a Rocky Mtn. Spring; oy, was I wrong!!

For me, this seemed like a good year to load up on IDP players in the two Zealot Rookie drafts I took part in. With these Leagues being non PPR was this a good approach? Both of my teams are reasonable but not studly by any stretch. I just couldn't pull the trigger on WR's that may have been very nice for a PPR League but not so attractive for a standard scoring league.

For what it's worth I think Gronkowski is going to be a beast in the NE offense if he stays healthy. Belichick will be having him for dinner at the house along with Bill O'Brien if he shows he can be Bavaro like.

Finally, Cecil, that was a great show with Russ Lande on draft weekend.

Thanks for the yeoman's work!!!

I am trying to figure out if should be buying or selling Charles. Seems like his hype is pretty high right now, but with no improvements in the OL, and TJ and MCCluster in the mix (even if more as a slot receiver than RB), I have my doubts about him.

Also, what are your thoughts on Cassel. Will we see some improvement with being 2nd year in the system and the additions of Weiss and McCluster, and hopefully a better conditioned Bowe?

Hey guys,

Love the show.

What are your thoughts on Eli Manning as a buy low candidate in redrafts? He seems to be going out of the top 10 in most fantasy mocks despite having some very nice weapons in the receiving game.

I have an owner in my dynasty league who is itching to move Greg Jennings. I am tempted to go for it but I am worried about Jermichael Finley and all the other great targets there in GB. What are you guys thoughts about Jennings in dynasty?

Also I just traded for Hakeem Nicks in a dynasty league, what do you guys see his floor/ceiling as in the next few years?

Thanks!

Are people sleeping on drinking the Anthony Dixon cider? He's in a great situation with the offensive line boasting some serious talent. Frank Gore is going to be winding it down soon and Dixon should be the heir apparent..

I love the Buy Low/Sell High articles. How about a couple buy low and sell high WR's & RB's?

Also, a little discussion on rookie draft picks and their value would be appreciated. Overvalued? Undervalued?

Hey Sig, isn't it about time to play the Dr. Rockso theme?

That said, Aaron Hernandez has been the topic of many threads in the Shark Pool. Many love him and think he'll work well in the Pat's system. The doubters tend to paint the Pat's use of the position along with the Bengals use of the TE in recent years. I know you were really high on him as a PPR Dynasty player pre-draft. You still sticking by those statements even tho he ended up in Patriotland?

FWIW, I drafted him the the 3rd round of my rookie draft and hope I have a weekly play within the next 3 years.

Hey guys.

Interested in your thoughts on Bowe.

A number of people on the "Bye Low, Sell High" thread are mentioning him as a "buy low" but I'm not sure I see that.

I'm actually considering selling him (for the right price, of course) not because I think his value has definitely peaked, but I think he is still may be valued in a trade as a top 10-20 dynasty WR right now and if he has another subpar year, I think his value will drop off a cliff. Add to that his reportedly lackadaisical work ethic and I'm looking at trying to flip him (plus some added value like a 2nd round dynasty rookie pick) for a lower risk top 10-20 guy like Greg Jennings, Roddy White, Vincent Jackson or Brandon Marshall.

Thoughts?

Hi Guys,

thanks for your great show.

I've got some questions for you from Europe.

- What are your thoughts on Zach Miller? Can he be better than both Celek and Winslow in Non-PPR Leagues now that Cambell is in Town?

- Jermaine Cunningham (NEP): can he be a decent pickup in IDP Tackle Heavy Leagues if he is listed as DL rather than OLB? What to expect from him in his first year?

- Can Addai for the second Straight Year be a Top 10/15 RB even if Donald Brown stays healty?

Besides the obvious OL issues, I read an article on Matt Forte where he said he had hamstring and knee injuries last year. Are you buying that? In a PPR, what are the chances he becomes what he was in 08 again? TIA!

Dustin Keller seems to have really dropped in perceived value. I think he was over-hyped at the beginning of last year and now owners are over-correcting. Do you think he's a good buy low - that his talent will shine through? Or does his situation (run heavy team, young QB, lots of other targets) limit his upside? And is he made less valuable because of the depth at TE?

Lots of good questions for tonight. Good luck fitting them all in one show. Keep up the great work. Always immitated, but never duplicated..stay frosty!

whats up guys

In a PPR dynasty league what are your thoughts on Devone Bess. I think he will be a solid WR3 out of the slot because Brandon Marshall is going to get lots of attention from the defense.

What about Donnie Avery? I still believe in the guy but he's on a bad team and he's always getting injured.

thanks guys

Who if anybody emerges from the mess at WR on the Rams? In one dynasty I am in, none of the wideouts are rostered. Who should I target?

Missed out on purpose last night because I have to drive 5 hours today and this along with IDP podcast will take up 3 of that.

Thanks guys :lmao:

Hey guys, great show! Do you always ask for the questions this way? I don't know how missed it in the past if you do.

Most Thursday night shows they do. On occasion they have enough to talk about with news and notes.
