Hey guys love the show, best fantasy show PERIOD! Got some keeper and general auction strategy questions. 12 team standard scoring non-ppr start 1 Qb, 2 WRs, 2RBs, 1 TE, my keepers are A. Johnson ($42), M. Austin ($3)!!, J. Stewart ($22), K. Moreno ($22). That leaves me with $99 left for the draft. I can restrict 1 - L. McCoy, M. Ryan, or P. Thomas and keep at the highest bid. Who would you restrict? How should I spend the rest of my cash? Half of it for two good QBs if I don't restrict Ryan? Top TE? Quality bargain backups? I'm going to need to fill a 16 man roster. Thanks guys!

Hey guys, love the show! Nothing better than sitting back with a frosty libation and listening to some great football talk! I would love for you guys to discuss the importance of TE in general for standard leagues (non PPR, 10-12 team) refraft and dynasty. How crucial is it to have an elite TE, do you reach or trade for one (especially in dynasty) or play TE by committee? Thanks for your answers, and I'll drink errr... Listen off the air!

Hey guys love the show and the website, without a doubt the best fantasy football info anywhere! I was wondering if you could spend a little time talking about the 49ers offense, I think they have major breakout potential with the upgrades on the o-line and the fact the Crabtree will go through a full camp to get ready for the season. Do you think guys like Alex Smith, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree could out perform there current ADP's? Thanks guys!

IDP Keeper

Sorry, I have yet to listen to IDP301 and IDP401 but I need advise on keeper priority based on position.

I have 4 top 10 keepers (1DL / 2LB / 1DB) but can only keep 3, who should go back to the pool from:

- J. Peppers (DL5)

- J. Laurinaitis (LB6)

- D. Harris (LB8)

- B. Pollard (DB2)

Thanks

Whasup fellas. Hope you got your vuvuzelas fired up! :lmao:

1. Who of these young QBs do you like for this year (as a later round guy with upside to couple with a conservative Eli or Big Ben type) and for Dynasty?

[*]Chad Henne

[*]M. Moore

[*]K. Kolb

2. How do you rank these mid-round RBs for a PPR league (again, for this year, and for Dynasty):

[*]M. Forte

[*]K. Moreno

[*]Donald Brown

[*]J. Best

[*]M. Hardesty

[*]J. Forsett

[*]D. Sproles

[*]M. Barber

[*]F. Jones

3. In a PPR keeper league, I can keep one of the following (for the Round listed)...who would you keep? I can keep that player at that Round pick for as long as I want, and I generally look out about 1 year, ie the guy doesn't have to hit this year.

[*]Donald Brown (7th)

[*]T. Choice (10th)

[*]Beanie Wells (11th)

[*]Jon Stewart (11th)

4. Which of these Rookie RBs do you like as a Dynasty-Taxi-squad type that might be a lottery ticket in a year or two:

[*]Anthony Dixon

[*]J. Starks

[*]BJ Green Ellis (aka, Boston Legal)

[*]Jalen Parmele

[*]Tyrell Sutton

[*]J. Dywer

[*]Shawnbrey McNeal

Very rarely make it live, but I love listening to the podcast too and from work.

What is your preferred scoring system? The key is being able to adjust your rankings and expectations as scoring rules dictate, but what type of scoring system do you salivate over for offensive and IDP.

Only a month til training camp begins!!!

Just wanted to get you guys' take on the fantasy outlook for my Jags this year. Personally I think the tackles having a year of experience will mean good things for the offense as a whole. Garrard will never be a QB1 but I think he can be a serviceable QB2 with all of the young talent around him developing. The key points of interest for me are:

Backup running back - Jennings v. Karim

WR2/3 - Mike Thomas v Dillard v. Williamson (oops, just dropped my mouse!)

TE - Marcedes Lewis v. Zach Miller

What are your short term and dynasty outlooks?

It's true! Adam Schefter DOES wear Footballguys pajamas!

I'm in a 16-team, 40-man roster PPR IDP dynasty league, and I'm looking for some RB help. Are they any under-the-radar 3rd or 4th RBs (AKA not Tashard Choice) that you like to become part of a RBBC or even find their way into a feature role? Thanks, and keep up the white-hot analysis!

Please talk about QB drafting philosophy.

• Non-ppr

• 12 team redraft

• 4 pts per passing td

• 1 pt for 25 yds passing

In our league, the top 5 QBs (Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Romo, Brady) will be drafted by the end of the 3rd round.

Question 1: Are Schaub and Rivers significantly better than the next tier (Cutler, Manning, McNabb, Favre, Kolb) that you would spend a 4th or 5th round pick to ensure you get one of them?

Question 2: If you don’t get one of the top 7, who do you like, and why, of those next 5 QBs (Cutler, Manning, McNabb, Favre, Kolb) that you would spend a 4th or 5th round pick on them to ensure you get one?

Whats up gents?

Recently Mike Lombardi left the NFP. IMO that site is not the same now. What else should we consider required daily reading, aside from obviously the website that this show is BROUGHT TO YOU BY!

PS Sig, with Phish playing locally recently, it reminded me I always wanted to ask if you hit the Clifford Ball back in the day ?

Hi guys,

This question I guess is moreso directed at Sig.

Looking at the Hot Route dynasty league on MFL, I had a question about your draft.

1. If you were in the same spot going through your draft, would you still draft Thomas Davis? Would you IR him for next season or hope he comes back this season

Thanks as always for the great show guys - keep up the great work.

I saw an article on FBG.com about repeat top 10 performances 1-2 ago (I think Waldman did it) so I took a look at my league to see what the averages were for the last 15 years. On average for QB's, only 5 guys out of the top 10 repeat their performance and only 2 guys out of the top 5 repeat. My league's top 10 last year in order were:

Brees, Rodgers, Schaub, P. Manning, Brady,

Romo, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Farve and E. Manning.

(Scoring: 6 pt passing TD's, TD length and 250+ yards passing bonuses, double points for out of position TD's).

So which 2 stay in the top 5 and which 5 stay in the top 10 and who from the rest of the field fills in the gaps?

(My thoughts: Brees, Rodgers and Romo are in the top 5; P Manning and Brady remain top 10 and Cutler, Palmer, McNabb, Flacco and possibly Kolb or Eli in a repeat performance fill out the rest.)

Best pocast ever! Keep it classy.

Awesome show guys as always! Thanks for the twitter love. Keep up the amazing work you both do.

Two dynasty questions for you:

1) Does David Garrard have any value in 2011 and beyond?

2) If you had to get rid of one of the TEs which one would you drop: Zack Miller (Jax) James Casey, Shawn Nelson, or Dennis Pitta? (Don't worry already have Oak's Zack Miller and Fred Davis) and can start 3 TEs if need be with 1.5 PPR for the position.

How about going through some guys that underperformed last year that should suprise this year. Would make a good article as well ...

Too many times a guy gets hurt, or has circumstances beyond his control that makes for a bad year - and its like the guy falls off a cliff. Everyone is spooked by the guy - but their talent hasn't changed. They just need a coaching change, QB change, etc.

How bout it guys?

Hey - which one of the FBGs is Finless? It is killing me. (Joe?)

Thanks.

Hey guys,

1. As of right now, who is your money on to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2010?

2. Which Green Bay WR do you trust to pick up the slack from Donald Driver when he retires - James Jones or Jordy Nelson?

Great show guys! I hope Sigmund is enjoying the World Cup! Justice has been served now that the Frenchies are out! :goodposting:

Hey guys,

Loving the show so far (safe saying that as I always do). Quick question regarding the Colts WRs. It was announced today that Gonzales will be able to challenge Garcon for the #2 role (which is only fair). How do you see this battle working out? Also, do you think the eventual replacement for Wayne is already on the Colts roster (hint: Garcon) and when do you think we'll see Wayne be surpassed by the next guy up?

Thanks in advance!

JamesT

Sig, I have heard you say that you are particularly high on Nicks this year. I'm just wondering what do you see in Nicks and the NYG passing game to make you see a potential 1100 yard double digit TD guy? Do you see him more valuable than Crabtree in dynasty?

Cecil, REACT TO ME!!!

Evenin', gents. Been a while. Good to be talking to you again. Here's a scenario for you:

Nazis have your mom hostage. Turns out "Herr Kommissar" is a huge fantasy football fan, but has had a few lean years(hence the kidnapping of your mom to ratchet you for information). The fantasy SS show up at your door, give you the skinny and tell you their boss has one request and your mom can go free: Name the top 3 IDPs who, as of this day, you predict will vastly outperform their draft position.

Don't do it for me, do it for your mom.

Hey guys! Always love tuning in to the best FF show on the interweb.

My question if you can squeeze it in is about the value of TE in 10 to 12 team redraft leagues. It used to be very valuable to get one of the top TE every year IMHO when there was Gonzo, Gates and a bunch of 2-4 point per week scraps.

TE are becoming more and more fantasy relevant lately. So much so, that it doesn't matter as much to draft one of the top few guys.

1. Where would you say the tiers are for the 2010 class?

2. Where in the mix would you say if you don't have a TE by the time X number have been selected that you have put your team at a big disadvantage?

3. Why isn't Owen Daniels rated higher? I rank him as a top 4 guy barring injury.

4. What kind of strategy do you like for drafting TE value this year?

Thanks guys!

Vernon Davis (he lives...finally!)

Clark

Gates

Witten

Gonzo

Finley

Winslow

Celek

Daniels

Miller Time, Zach and Heath

Shiancoe

Cooley

Carlson

Keller

Hi guys, love the show..

How do you see the Arizona Cardinals Wide Receiver situation behind Larry Fitzgerald working out? Breaston's in a contract year, Doucet came on strong towards the end last year and there's been some positive feedback from the Cards about his weight training and work ethic.. and then you've got Andre Roberts who looks to be a solid rookie receiver coming into the fray..

On a somewhat related note what of John Skelton's possible fantasy prospects in Arizona?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hey guys, I know I asked a similar question regarding the Carolina WR's recently but I wanted to run it by you now that Steve Smith has broken his arm.

What I am thinking is in relation to a worst case scenario, say Smith tries to rush back and re-breaks his arm (for a 3rd time) and is done for the season.

How would you see the WR situation play out then?

I know he has shown absolutely nothing at this level but the front office still does have something invested in Dwayne Jarrett so I think he would get every chance as the start especially being a veteran. My feel is that whoever emerges in camp out of the three rookies would get the shot opposite Jarrett. Wallace Wright and Kenneth Moore are not exciting options but they cannot be discounted either. It would be great to see Dexter Jackson emerge and live up to his 2008 draft slot but that's probably unlikely. At the very least these guys will be getting more meaningful reps to see how the situation plays out. I'd especially like to hear what chance you would give to Wright/Moore/Jackson. Who possibly out of this whole mess could become become the Panthers WR1 and perhaps a WR3 for fantasy if the worst case happened to Smith?

Guys, awesome show. 3 Quick Questions if possible:

1) Outside of the J Allen and Trent Cole, how do you rank these DE's for 2010 and in a Dynasty(16-team , start 2 DEs, 5 pts/sack, 2 pts/tackle):

T. Suggs 27 yrs old

Will Smith 28

J Tuck 27

Mario Williams 25

2) Who will be the Giants MLB in 2010 and beyond? If you had to bet on it today, who would you bet on?

3) Rank these 3 LBs (in Dynasty and 2010): D. Hawthorne, Nick Barnett, Bradie James
