Two roster decisions: Luck or Cam; Jeffery or Inman (1 Viewer)

I need help in the semis in a 12 team full PPR league with 6 points for all TDs:

Decision 1:  Andrew Luck v. Minnesota or Cam Newton v. Washington

Decision 2:  pick my flex

Alshon Jeffery v. GB

Dontrelle Inman v. Oak

Terrelle Pryor v. Cinci

K. Farrow v. Oak

(If it helps, the rest of my team is stout:  Le’Veon Bell, David Johnson, TY Hilton, Stefon Diggs, Tyler Eifert, etc.)

Leave your post, and I'll hit yours.

Luck is the better fantasy QB in most respects. Newton has been playing like crap but he has the better matchup this week....potential shootout there. I think I would go with Luck this week even with the shoulder soreness or whatever was going on. His floor and ceiling have been higher than Cam's for pretty much the whole season.

Since the rest of your team is really good, let's try to find the best upside in your flex guys...

Pryor is my initial choice. BUT if you take Farrow and hand him Melvin Gordon's production he beats Pryor head to head 8 out of 10 weeks. Even if you reduce by 15% or so it only drops to 7 out of 10 weeks. Add that to the stellar matchup with Oakland and you might have a better play with Farrow. I actually need to evaluate these 2 for my own team...I might like Farrow better here...

I think Luck is a pretty easy call, Newton has been rough and seemingly has zero confidence in his WRs right now.

I'm worried about Diggs starting to become basically an equal with Thielen. I'd go Farrow at flex and the returning Jeffery(fresh in time for a contract push) at WR. If you are locked onto Diggs, then I'd go Jeffery over Farrow.

Thanks, guys.  Any other thoughts?
I agree with Luck but I am bucking the trend here and going with Inman. He has scored TDs for three straight weeks and averaged 7 targets in last 7 games. Williams is a boom/bust player and with the backfield a little banged up and the Raiders secondary a bit suspect I can see him having a good game.

Best of luck - please see mine https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/752701-wdis-need-to-recover-from-bad-thursday-night-ppr-to-win-playoff-game-wrir/

Thanks, guys.  I'm leaning toward Luck, because he's less likely to lay a donut (though I do think Cam is more likely to break 20) and Inman over Jeffery.  I'm struggling with the latter decision, and it's coming down to the weather.  I have a hard team seeing Matt Barkely putting up big numbers against the Packers (after their surprising performance against Sea) in that sort of cold.  Farrow's fine, and I'd start him if he were the back on passing downs, but I doubt he'll play that role, and so I'll be heavily reliant on TDs.  Not my favorite.

Anyone with reasoning to talk me out of it?

Let me be a contrarian.  I'm sitting Luck this week because the Vikes D is very good vs the pass and the Colts will be starting THREE rookies on the o line.  I couldn't bet my fantasy playoffs on an injured QB behind that line playing a good D.   Plus as a Skins fan I admit our D sucks!!!!

good luck (no pun intended) with your choice.

Well put.  That's what I'm afraid of, too.  If you look at matchups, just about everyone gets 20 points against Wash:  Wentz, Palmer, Dak, Dalton, Bradford.  Newton might be hurt, but so is Luck, so that evens out.  Meanwhile, no one has scored over 25 v MN, and only one guy, Cousins, has broken 20 against MN since week 3.  Admittedly, MN has not faced the best passing games, but still.

I'm heavily leaning Inman, too.

So I started Newton and Inman.  Seeing Luck's line (over 22 points) and Jeffery's (14.8) right now, I'm regretting both decisions. . . . here's to hoping that Cam and Inman show up!
