Top 10 rb's:

1) ADP - Back on top, catches will continue to increase. Best TD year in his short career thus far.

2) CJ3 - drops 1 spot, still great production

3) MJD - Stud in any format

4) Gore - No longer the only focus and has an improved line

5) Rice - Will still lose TD's to McGahee

6) McCoy - Sleeper. Kolb will not be airing it out ala McNabb. McCoy gets over 300 touches, 240/60

7) S.Jackson - If he stays 100% healthy he's top 5. He produces even with 8 in the box.

8) Mendenhall - Heavy workload on a team who should stay in almost every game

9) Moreno - This may be the lowest he's ranked for the next 5 years.

10) P.Thomas - Talking long term contract with the Saints. Predicting a big YPC average, and good rec.

Top 10 qb's:

1) P.Manning - Will have the 2nd best year of his career. challenging 5000 is a definate possibility.

2) Rodgers - He showed last year he belongs.

3) Brady - They will be going 5 wide all year. Welker is a question mark.

4) Schaub - healthy Schaub = Gold, and Jacoby Jones takes a step up. Daniels will need to be healthy to keep Schaub top 5.

5) Romo - Apparently clicking with Williams, has Austin and Witten, and a shiny new toy in Dez Bryant.

6) Brees - Drops this season. New Orleans becomes more balanced, teams make them win with the run.

7) Rivers - Depends on the development of Matthews.. rookie wall? We know Rivers can throw though.

8) Palmer - Comes back into the top 10 if Antonio Bryant can play.

9) Flacco - Looking great in camp, gets a (more) legit WR in Boldin.

10) E.Manning - Has to make up for a disappointing running game.

Top 10 wr's:

1) A.Johnson - Stud stud stud stud beast stud.

2) V.Jackson - West Coast Calvin Johnson with a better QB. Breakout year.

3) R.Moss - Still going strong, will lead in TD's.

4) Fitzgerald - Slips a bit because of Lienert, but good enough to produce anyway.

5) Ocho Cinco - Dancing with the stars gave him too many end zone ideas. Plus Bryant is legit enough to draw coverage. Coles was not.

6) C.Johnson - Stafford should grow enough to know you can just throw it in this guy's direction.

7) Boldin - Pretty easy to put here. His fantasy PPG is amazing.

8) Crabtree - Stud. It's on the QB though.

9) S.Smith (NYG) - Eli's go to guy, should hit 90+ rec's.

10) Jennings - Really didn't end too bad and was widely considered a bust.

Top 10 te's:

1) Clark - Best pass catching TE. Period. Leads yardage, 2nd in td's.

2) Finley - Best mismatch TE. Should grab 10+ td's.

3) Witten - Will lead in rec's.

4) Cooley - McNabb is the best thing to happen to him, Davis doesn't steal much.

5) Gates - 2nd option for Rivers, good end zone target

6) Daniels - Good all around numbers, but doubtful he relives the pace he started on in 09.

7) Davis - Boom or Bust week to week.

8) Winslow - Best.. well.. ONLY option in TB, and they will be behind.. a LOT!

9) Gonzalez - I just see ATL running more this year and don't think Ryan improves.

10) Olsen - Gut feeling, maybe some homerism.

(11) Celek - he deserves to be mentioned.

Not bad overall. A couple changes I would make:Tight Ends - Celek should be higher for sure. He played great last year and his biggest games were with Kolb in at QB. Martz doesn't utilize tight ends so I would replace Olsen with Zach Miller OAK.

QB's - I would replace Carson Palmer w/ Kevin Kolb. The strength of the Eagles offense is with their recievers and tight ends and Kolb passed it around a ton in his limited appearances last season.

Running backs look pretty good but I think you gotta put Turner somewhere in that top ten just b/c of the huge TD #'s he is going to put up.

Nice list - although I'm suprised to not see Roddy White (who was 2nd in the NFL in targets in '09) - anywhere in the top 10.

I own Greg Olsen in a couple of leagues and I'm expecting the worst from him due to Martz. A couple of years ago I overestimated Vernon Davis because I thought surely he has talent that can't be ignored.

Top 10 rb's:

1) ADP - Back on top, catches will continue to increase. Best TD year in his short career thus far. --- I agree 100% about his catches increasing. I also agree he's #1

2) CJ3 - drops 1 spot, still great production --- If he doesn't hold out I'm on board with this pick

3) MJD - Stud in any format --- No problem here either

4) Gore - No longer the only focus and has an improved line --- I'd drop him one spot

5) Rice - Will still lose TD's to McGahee --- I'd raise him one spot

6) McCoy - Sleeper. Kolb will not be airing it out ala McNabb. McCoy gets over 300 touches, 240/60 --- I don't think he's all that good. I'd drop him between 15 - 22

7) S.Jackson - If he stays 100% healthy he's top 5. He produces even with 8 in the box. --- Sounds about right. Anywhere between 6 - 10.

8) Mendenhall - Heavy workload on a team who should stay in almost every game --- Sounds about right. Anywhere between 7 - 10

9) Moreno - This may be the lowest he's ranked for the next 5 years. --- See my LeSean McCoy comment

2) V.Jackson - West Coast Calvin Johnson with a better QB. Breakout year. --- Isn't he due for a suspension? No way he finishes this high.

3) R.Moss - Still going strong, will lead in TD's. --- No way. He will really show his age in 2010.

4) Fitzgerald - Slips a bit because of Lienert, but good enough to produce anyway. --- Raise him to top 3. I don't care who the QB is and besides, Boldin isn't there anymore, which I like for Fitz.

5) Ocho Cinco - Dancing with the stars gave him too many end zone ideas. Plus Bryant is legit enough to draw coverage. Coles was not. --- I would lower him out of the top 10. Put Boldin, Johnson, Jennings, and Crabtree ahead of him

2) Finley - Best mismatch TE. Should grab 10+ td's. --- Here's the new #1 for the next 5 years.

3) Witten - Will lead in rec's.

4) Cooley - McNabb is the best thing to happen to him, Davis doesn't steal much. --- Bold, but nice prediction.

5) Gates - 2nd option for Rivers, good end zone target

Brandon Marshall will yet again be in the top 10 for WR's.
Not sure how many more 100 catch years he needs to put together to be a sure fire top 5 PPR WR.Greg Jennings? Vince Jackson? PPR? No shot.Ocho? A declining QB and more competition for targets? Ahead of Marshall? Nuh uh.

(11) Celek - he deserves to be mentioned. -- I also look for Celek to drop. I just don't think Kolb will go to him as often as McNabb did.
FYI: Celek's two best games of the season when Kolb started - 8 for 104; 8 for 104, 1 TD. His only 2 100-yard games and his only 2 8-catch games.

People are going to get themselves into trouble reading way too much into Kolb's two starts. First, its only two games. Second, they may as well have been playing against NCAA teams. The Saints had their 2nd and 3rd string defense on the field for half the game and Kolb had 51 attempts that game! And the other game was against KC who, in 2009, handed a 250 yard game to Miles Austin and a 213 yard game to Jabar Gafney (really??). KC's secondary was so bad that they actually took a safety 5th overall in the draft.

Anyway, the receiver rankings were the most *interesting*. Roddy White would pretty much have to get injured not to be in the top 10. Will Crabtree have enough targets to get there? SF is a team on the rise meaning they should be in more close games and have the ability to contraol the clock a lot more often. I see them being a better version of Carolina. A strong ball control offense with a stellar defense. And Crabtree doesn't have the speed to turn those little possession type routes into big scores.

FYI: Celek's two best games of the season when Kolb started - 8 for 104; 8 for 104, 1 TD. His only 2 100-yard games and his only 2 8-catch games.
I wouldn't put a lot of stock into those two starts.
why?
A small sample size and two forgiving pass defenses (#22 and #26).
But when you say this:
I also look for Celek to drop. I just don't think Kolb will go to him as often as McNabb did.
what can you base that off of? Yeah 2 is a small sample size, but it's what we have to work with. It seemed like he went to Celek plenty often. I think an 11 ranking is really bad.

To add to the Kolb/Celek discussion:

I believe there is a tendency for young, inexperienced QBs to rely on their TEs.

The Eagles are a pass first offense so there should be plenty of targets for Celek.

I think tis is a fallacy. If it were true, Keller would have been gold last year with Sanchez.

1. OK, so according to your comments you have Manning, Rodgers, Brees, and Romo in the top 5. Who is missing? 2. Brady will be either 6 or seven since you didn't say he is in the top 5. If you thought he'd be top five you'd say so, I assume.

3. Why the big drop for Schaub? Please don't say he's injury prone.

Here's your top 10 from what I understand:

Top 5

1) P.Manning

2) Rodgers

3) Brees

4) ?????

5) Romo

6-10

6) Brady

7) Rivers

8) Schaub

9) Flacco

10) E.Manning

Not in top 10

11) Palmer
