Both Tyson Fury and Conor McGregor, as most of you are likely aware, are fighters of Irish descent.  Both are big draws in their respective combat sport, and both are highly skilled.  Perhaps more importantly for us sports fans — both are among the most entertaining athletes in the world today.  Legendary talkers.

If you’re not familiar with Fury, here’s how he celebrated winning the Heavyweight Championship several years ago, here he is at a press conference describing his physique, and here’s a great short documentary/highlight reel on his life and career where you can see his skill and hear him talk.

I’m assuming everyone is familiar with Conor McGregor and his work inside the Octagon and his antics outside of it, but here’s a short documentary/highlight reel on McGregor’s early career (mainly because I love that video producer’s work.)

So here are the questions:

1.  Based solely on their antics and personality (not their actual fights), which man do you find more entertaining?

2.  Who would win in a street fight between Fury and McGregor?

When answering the second question keep in mind the following:

A.  McGregor has a much more varied and complete fighting skill set;

B.  Fury was raised in a bare-knuckle fighting Irish Traveller culture; and

C.  Fury is much larger than McGregor, but McGregor is much faster than Fury.

Tale of the Tape:

McGregor:  5’9”, 155 lbs (fighting weight)

Fury:  6’9”, 260 (fighting weight)

Fury. the size/strength difference is massive and Fury is extremely athletic for his size.
I totally agree with you, but I’m kind of surprised we haven’t seen a single vote for McGregor under the idea that Conor could somehow get Fury on the ground and apply a submission.  Not that McGregor is exactly a submission specialist.
