Ultimate Draft Spot (1 Viewer)

I'm in a league where you get to bid on your draft slot. This league uses "Third Round Reversal" draft format. Every team gets $1000 dollars to bid on their draft slot. The remaining money is used to bid on free agents through out the year. Ea: I bid $600 dollars for the #3 draft slot, that leaves $400 to bid on free agents for the year.

My question, keeping in mind the third round reversal, what is the best draft slot to bid on? 12 team league, start 1qb, 2rb, 3rc, 1te, 1pk, 1def and 1flex. Last year I bid on the #10 spot. Made the playoffs, but then bombed.

1st round 1-12

2nd round 12-1

3rd round 12-1

4th round 12-1 (not sure on this)

5th round 1-12 and continue to snake

Personally, I prefer to Draft from the middle (Picks 6 or 7 in a 12-Teamer) in 3rd Round Reversal Formats, because they are affected the least by the switch. I'm a big fan of eliminating as much variability from my Drafts as possible, and those middle of the round Pick Slots allow me a better opportunity to 'work the room' as it were, knowing that roughly the same number of Picks are occuring on either side of mine.

In your Format, those Pick Slots will probably come pretty cheap, too.

Statistically the worst spot to draft out of for that format is the 5th.. so don't go there. 1st or 2nd, or 10th iirc are the top spots.. but really it's very marginal Banzai is the closest to even you can get. Like the previous guy said, just do some mocks and see where you land the players you are high on.
