Ultimate IDP Survivor Final Leg (1 Viewer)

tough call at the #2 spot but decided Jared Allen was too good to pass up even with the week 9 bye. wish he had more games against the Packers on the schedule.
No kidding. Try the #5 spot with Willis, Allen & Lofton off the board already. No obvious pick at my spot.
Don't worry, theres really no obvious picks in an IDP only draft done mid-season.

Hawthorne has been a stud in his two starts for Lofa. I'm throwing conventionional (and unconventional) wisdom out the window. ;-)

Good luck!

1.02 DE Jared Allen

2.11 LB Stephen Cooper

3.02 LB Will Witherspoon

After taking Allen, I decided to try and avoid guys with bye weeks left. Cushing and Posluzny were high on my list but I felt Cooper and Witherspoon had similar upside with no bye weeks to worry about.

Tackle heavy

Ysatnaf_Gnik 58-19

awesomeness 48-29

amit-nfl 47-30

Tecmo 40-37

J Giles Band 40-37

SunTzu 39-38

The top three are almost certainly in this week, though none have mathematically clinched. All three staffers will not advance from this group, including last season's 3rd place finisher (Thomas).
Not so fast my friend! It took an 11-0 final week, but somehow I managed to sneak in. :lmao:
yeah- weak.. week8 makde me drop out of the final leagueCongrats to the finals 12 !

second year of the Footballguys IDP Surviour was great - again . Thanks all the Comish's & managers of the site !

wish to keep it next year and on

Last year Bloom did a great write-up and predictions on everyones team after the draft.

Any chance we could get Jene or Aaron to do one this year?

:X

Thanks to everyone for another strong contest.

Thank you Jene and to FBG for hosting this.

Congratulations obxlegends! Very, very well done, a dominant performance indeed.

Congrats to obx who pretty much dominated the 8 weeks. JAM had one bad week but excellent otherwise and YG had a great week when it counted the most. Thanks for putting on this contest.

Congratulations to Obxlegends on winning solid performance all the way through . Thanks to staff at FBG for taking part and giving IDP a form like this where we can compete against each other . I can`t wait until the next one .

Congratulating obxlegends is like kissing my sister. (inside joke). Congrats anyways. Pretty impressive to win a competition like this. :excited:

Congrats OBX, you deffinetly dominated this competition! Thanks staff for running this again, it was awesome!!

Can't wait til next year.

Last year I was eliminated the first week of the season. My only goal coming into the thing was to go one week more. :lmao:

Jene then went ahead and made it an all-play for the season. That took the pressure off to any slow start.

Drafting out of the 12 hole in the opening leg I was lucky enough to draft Chris Johnson. We all know what happened next. Rivers, Welker, D. Jackson, P. Willis, V. Davis; this may have been one of my best drafts in years. Luckily I was able to stay mostly healthy and advance. I'm also very proud that this team won the season title too.

The "finals" draft after Lofton was gambling with the house's money. Hawthorne in the 2nd round. Waiting on a DE until the 4th round in Schobel. Lucky to get him because he had a Week 9 bye and was coming off an injury in week 8 and speculation was he could miss some time. Grabbing Mayo late, as people let him drop due to the injury. Pollard, Woodley, Grimes, Bullitt all at great values.

I would never recommend anyone using the draft philosophy I did. Gambling on injured or suspended players or players just coming into jobs, but for 8 weeks it seemed to do the trick.

JAM's team had me worried throughout. He kept me up late a few nights.

Thanks to Jene and Footballguys staff for putting this thing together for another year. The lifetime subscription and 300 bucks come secondary after competing with best of the best the IDP forum has to offer. It was an honor. Thank you.

Though I'm still licking my wounds from my finish in the final leg, I'd like to thank all the folks at FBG's for taking the time and effort to put this together. It has been a heck of a lot of fun.

And for the record, in 20 years of fantasy sports I have never seen anything quite like the competition in the final leg. It was evident throughout the draft as time after time guys were drafted exactly when they should have been. I was sniped multiple times on every selection and there was no stealing a pick in this draft.

Congrats to OBX. A dominant performance and well earned victory. ;)
