Ultimate Survivor - Leg 1 - League 4 (1 Viewer)

Lash

Footballguy
League 4 - Wednesday, July 23rd - 10:00 PM Eastern (1 spot left)

Staff entrants: Jene Bramel, John Norton

Message Board Entrants: by_the_sea_wannabe, bostonfred, Lash, Busman, bagger, Pictus Cat, Usual21, bucki4life, Raider Nation

PPR (NFFC rules, 3RR, KDS - 0.5. 1, 1)

Start 1 QB, 2RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 PK, 1 Def

Best Ball

3 questions:

1) START TIME I posted before we were full because i am starting to get worried about a drastic time change as i have seen other threads going up and the participants getting together and changing times

i picked this league BECAUSE of the time which i thought that was pretty much set until i saw these other threads

i can possibly start one hour earlier at 9pm est but any earlier and i'd be AFK until that time, is everyone okay with that?

2) 3RR Seem to remember some confusion over the acronyms '3RR' and '3RS' with the NFFC calling theirs by the wrong acronym last year - so in short are we talking about the regular 3RR or NFFC 3RR? or less confusing are we drafting where the entire serpentine order is reversed in round three (1-12,12-1,12-1,1-12,12-1) or are we drafting where JUST the 3rd round is reversed (1-12,12-1,12-1,12-1,1-12) ? probably just confused everyone more sorry

3) KDS who and when do we send our preferred draft order list to?

Dodds will confirm the 3RR and KDS process before the draft, but I'm 99% certain that the 3RR is a change in the third round only -- 1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, etc -- and the KDS process will happen shortly before the draft (either immediately before or within a couple of days before the draft).

Lash -- the draft time will not change unless everyone is in agreement. If 9pm (or whenever) works for everyone, then we'll change. If not, 10pm ET it is.

Looking forward to this.

thanks Jene, was doing more forum searching and i found two more terms Bonzai and Flip methods referring to 3RR and 3RS, i wish at least on FBG website we could come to a consensus nickname for these alternate drafting formats :wall:

yes the terms are a bit confusing, but this will be done the way the NFFC does it. 1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, 1-12 where the third round reverses and then it's serpentine the rest of the way.

Once Clayton has all your emails, he will contact all of you and request your choices for draft slots (KDS).

I'm going to give 100%. My back is against the wall. I'm gonna take it one week at a time.

And I'd like to thank God for my inevitable victory in this league.

ok, i just got the email that i was chosen first in Kentucky Derby lottery

gimme draft slot #2 so i don't have to make the big decision LOL

just kidding :moneybag: no email received

Looks like I'm the last one in. I'm all up for moving the time back to 9ET if everyone else agrees. I'm gonna have to brush up on these rules.

I'll put a poll on the website when Clayton fires it up to determine the earliest everyone can draft. We'll go with the latest earliest poll vote -- so to speak.

Again, no one is under any obligation or pressure to move the draft time up for others. However, if you all drag the later rounds of the draft to dawn EDT, there's no guarantee Clayton will be awake enough to heckle your picks.

If I needed to pick a league to have my back,I think it would be this one.

When does anyone think we will have all the emails in and draft picks announced?

First, Lash, can you shrink the longest line in your sig to bring our browser windows back to normal.

Clayton will do the dice rolls pretty soon after he receives emails from everyone. Depending on how quickly we respond with our KDS preferences, we could have an order by tomorrow or not until next week.

:lmao:

coachlarue@yahoo.com (i PM'd Clayton but posting it here too just in case)and sig should be fixed

or am i confused, does he need us to send and email with our order to him?

or does he just need our address right now?

If the post in the draft order thread is correct, he's got your address already, so you can delete it here. He'll send out instructions for the KDS process after the rolls are complete. Waiting on bagger and BF emails for the dice rolls, it looks like. And thanks for shortening the sig line.

Any chance he just rolls an order,

and then we select in that order what pick we want?

We might be able to start getting this done.

Are all the emails in?

How long do we wait?

Clayton needs the emails so we can copy you on the dice rolls. Not that there'd ever be any funny business, but this assures that everything is on the level.I would imagine that Clayton has a stop date in place. If he doesn't get contact information by that date, he'll move on to an alternate plan.

yes it seems the other leagues all know their order, maybe we are forgotten since we are the only league with two steps in determining order

1. 9PM ET is fine

2. Thanks for the clarification.

3. i have no idea what KDS is.

if you're telling us we get to choose our draft slot then i guess i can go first?

Lets draft a slot by order now.

PM the next guy after you pick your slot.

If you want to send a KDS list before you're up,

may I recommend contest organizer Clayton Gray (not in our league and official)

Baggers up. What pick do you want?

If we want to wait for a staffer to make this process official contest approved, that's understandable.

Seems Clayton did that when he said we could post in this thread.

League 4 - Wednesday, July 23rd - 10:00 PM Eastern (league is full)

Staff entrants: Jene Bramel, John Norton

Message Board Entrants: by_the_sea_wannabe, bostonfred, Lash, Busman, bagger, Pictus Cat, Usual21, bucki4life, Raider Nation, fake_15

PPR (NFFC rules, 3RR, KDS - 0.5. 1, 1)

Start 1 QB, 2RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 PK, 1 Def

Best Ball

#2 NFFC link

5. Starting Lineup Requirements: Starting lineups will consist of:

1 Quarterback

2 Running Backs

3 Wide Receivers

1 Tight End

1 Flex Player (RB, WR or TE)

1 Kicker

1 Team Defense/Specials Team

(If no Week One lineup is submitted, the NFFC will determine your starting lineup. After Week One, if no starting lineup is submitted, your starting lineup will be that of the previous week.)

6. Scoring: Players can accumulate points in a number of ways:

PASSING:

.05 points for every yard passing (works out to 1 point every 20 yards).

6 points for every passing touchdown

2 points for every 2-Point conversion

minus 1 point for every interception and lost fumble

RUSHING:

.10 points for every yard rushing (works out to 1 point every 10 yards).

6 points for every rushing TD

2 points for every 2-Point conversion

minus 1 point for every lost fumble

6 points for a recovered offensive fumble for a touchdown (RB, QB, WR, TE)

RECEIVING:

.10 points for every yard receiving (works out to 1 point every 10 yards).

6 points for every receiving TD

1 point for every reception for WRs, Tight Ends and QBs

0.5 points for every reception for RBs

2 points for every 2-Point conversion

minus 1 point for every lost fumble

KICKING:

1 point for every extra point

3 points for every field goal from 1-30 yards

3 points for every field goal plus .10 points for every yard after 30 yards (i.e. a 47-yard field goal would be worth 4.7 points)

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS:

1 point for every sack

2 points for every interception or opponents' fumble recovery

6 points for every touchdown (interception return, defensive fumble return, punt or kickoff return, blocked field goal return, blocked punt return). All special teams and defensive points are awarded to the team responsible, not the individual player. Should a kicker, punter or field goal holder throw a pass off a fake attempt, however, the offensive output for that offensive play would go towards the individual player, not the special teams. Also, any lost fumble or "muff" on a specials team play does not result in negative points for that individual player.

2 points for every safety

12 points for a shutout by the entire team

8 points for allowing 2-7 points by the entire team

4 points for allowing 8-12 points by the entire team

2 points for allowing 13-17 points by the entire team

KDS = Kentucky Derby Seeding.Highest roll gets first choice of draft slots. Draft slot choices proceed through the list by next highest roll until BF gets stuck with whatever's left.

, but I'm 99% certain that the 3RR is a change in the third round only -- 1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, etc --
Uhhh... what you have listed flips every single round from the third round till the end on. 3RR.Banzai ONLY flips the third of a serpentine. Every other round remains the same.

addressed in post #6 by Doddsyes the terms are a bit confusing, but this will be done the way the NFFC does it. 1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1, 1-12 where the third round reverses and then it's serpentine the rest of the way.

I just wanted the clarity of "only one round is changed" to be applied appropriately to the Banzai Method...It has 1 simple change. Thats it. One.

3RR takes in a change for every round from the third on.

Linked in Dodds original "Ultimate" thread in NFFC post #39 above,
