Anybody seen Titus around?

I'm in no rush whatsoever but I think we shoud start a "contact information" thread. Cell phones - email addresses - IM information.

It comes in handy with slow on line drafts

 
Everyone PM me you name, email address, and a phone # where you can get texts saying you are OTC

I will compile the list and email it out to all league members

 
Not to overreact because it's been 51 minutes without a pick, but I think we should consider a clock of some kind (2 hours, maybe?)...

The first games are only 15 days away, and 4 of those are weekends, when drafting is often scarce...

So 324 picks over the remaining 11 days is basically 30 picks a day, which seems daunting with no clock...

Just my two cents

I agree.It's a bad sign when we can't get pick 1.01 off the boards - especially when everyone knew the draft started today at 9am.

I agree.It's a bad sign when we can't get pick 1.01 off the boards - especially when everyone knew the draft started today at 9am.

I can impose a time limit of say 2 hours and on the site I can even have the clock shut off at some arbitrary time at night and restart again every morning. I will have the time limit stop at 10PM Eastern and restart every morning at 9AM. That doesnt mean you still cant make picks at night if you are up next.

 
I love that friggin site. So cool! Anyway I set the time limit to 2 hours. Titus has 1 hour left. If he doesnt make his pick Ill give him ARod.

 
Recommendation: To make shady's life easier lets have an open season on the players in yahoo. Pick up your guys as you draft them in a reasonable time. It's a beating putting in 300 players.

NOTICE ON QUEUES:

There are a ton of options for how you want your Queue setup.

The most common way is Available:FirstPlayerOnly:Freeformunavailable

This setting means the top guy in the queue is it. Period.

Later if you want to say: (take this guy if X player is gone, but Y guy if X player is not gone) then you use the free form available queue.

The Free Form is very helpful for guys picking 2,3,4 and 9,10,11 to make sure their picks make it around the turn rapidly if they will not be around.

Shady can always make your queue pick for you, but I encourage people to designate another person that can also make picks for you when needed.

I really wonder if a single starting pitcher for the Rangers will get drafted. Is it good when your favorite team doesn't have a rotation pitcher in the top 350 by espn?

Which guy out of Arod, David Wright and Han Ram did you think would fall to you at 7 (especially with Shady in front of you)?

Out for a bit. I have enough players queued up to last to the 4th round. Though I'll be checking in from time to time.

Wright. He's been mocked in pick 6-10 in many places. There's nothing particularly strong about his OBP vs AVG to jump him up over the guys you usually see at that spot. Don't hit the NL noob. tia.

The program lets the next person pick right away at their discretion within their own 2 hour limit. When the timed out person gets back they can pick at any time. Depending on how the draft is going it might make sense to expand the time limit if things are going well just in case. Though I'd always have a queue to get my back just in case.

Yep and thats how I will handle it from now on. titus got lucky. Nobody else will have a pick made for them without instruction.
 
Yeah, sorry about that guys, I swear I had my alarm clock set for 9am, and well, you know how that works two days out out of the year...It will not happen again as the queue is set...

Reading page 7 of our other thread here there are some guys saying that their pick might be 4-5-6 hours.

I think we better let them know about the "new" 2 hour time limit before we start skipping guys in the draft.

Just a thought - want to be fair before we have a riot here.

Thanks alot jackasses. I was all set to pick between whoever was left over between Reyes, Howard, and Fielder and you guys picked neither ;) .

;) Depends what your definition of slow is. 2 hours should be plenty of time plus you can add players to the queue. Really this shouldnt be an inconvenience for anyone. If we took 4-5-6 hours between every pick it would take till next year to draft.
 
If it was up to me I'd like to get the draft done today.

With that said . . .

I think we have to let everyone know about the 2 hour rule which was implemented today before we start skipping guys in the draft.
