Untradeable players in the NFL (1 Viewer)

Thats great, but fact remains and im sure the packers realize, besides Vernon Davis there is no one even in contention with him for the WR type TE in the entire NFL.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: The hype on this guy is completely out of control.
Do you know of some secret player in the NFL somewhere? Graham cant block, neither can Hernandez, Gonzo is on his way out, Mercedes Lewis struggles on both sides of the TE game imo, honestly, Finley and Davis are a step above the rest as far as receiving goes, this wouldnt even be a discussion if Davis played on a team that wasnt the Niners and Finley played for a team that threw the ball to less than 12 receivers a game.

Right now I'd say only Rodgers. Anybody else would be traded if the Packers offered Rodgers.

Ted: Hey GM for Team X, how about Rodgers for Player Y?

GM for Team X: :clicksaccept:

Yeah, isn't that funny? Vernon Davis is one of the best blocking TEs in the NFL, as seen this season. You can also see in the past 2 years that he is an ultimate receiving threat, too big and fast for anyone to block (besides maybe Patrick Willis, OH WAIT), and has played with Alex Smith, a consensus bust, yet gets absolutely no recognition, while TEs like Gronkowski and Graham have top QBs throwing to them. If Vernon Davis played with GB, NE, or NO, he would be far and away the best TE in the NFL.Speaking of Willis, he is definitely untradeable (pick-wise). He is the next Ray Lewis and will play for at least another decade, and is the cornerstone of any defense.

That said, for the right deal in the right situation, I could see almost any of them being traded. Rodgers and Brady might be the only guys I can think of that I couldn't even wrap my head around a scenario where they would be moved to another team. The rest are certainly "tradeable" IMO. Things change very quickly in the NFL.
Cam Newton belongs on this list. In fact I'd be more shocked to see them trade Cam than the Pats trading Brady. Don't get me wrong- theres a 99.99% chance Brady retires as a Pat, but if theres one organization that not afraid to go after value in favor of bucking the norm its the Pats. Brady is 34 years old and Mallett could develop into a stud in a few years. Cam is 22, plays the most important position, and is in the middle of a historic rookie season despite playing with the offense that ranked 32nd last year in both yards and points.

If the Packers wouldn't accept Rodgers for one other player, then the Packers wouldn't offer Rodgers for one other player. If the Packers wouldn't offer Rodgers for one other player, then your hypothetical is an impossibility, which means there can be other untradeable players.

Please. Finley doesn't even belong in the same sentence as Vernon Davis. Graham is already a better blocker than Finley and to anyone who watches games is obviously the better, more polished receiver. Witten and Gronkowski are also better and Tony G. is still performing at a high level. Then you have guys like Pettigrew and Gresham who appear to have already passed Finley in terms of learning the nuances of the game.Finley is not even in the first tier of tight ends, much less being a "step above the rest". He is the most overrated and overhyped player since Reggie Bush came along.

Thats odd, I watch almost every game and ive never seen Graham pick up a block, not talking like a clutch block, im talking any block at all. On the other hand ive seen Finley play better consistently than Graham has when he gets the ball. The decline in Finley's numbers has been caused by Rodgers throwing the ball to literally every offensive player on his team. Graham gets forced fed the ball and hes being outplayed by Gronk who is easily the MOST complete and imo most valuable TE in the NFL.That being said, I would include Sproles and Graham to that list, they have added more to the Saints offense then any player not named Drew Brees.

I agree. If Brady were injured and Mallett led the Patriots to a Championship, it isn't that hard to fathom Brady being traded for picks.

Gronk is the best all around TE in football and it's not even close. Finley has some amazing hybrid ability, and if you can't see how much he helps open the field for the other guys then you have your head in the sand. Still he's not even close to untradeable because they won a superbowl without him so it's not like he's the key to that O. Some talk has been made about him being a lock for a franchise tag, but I doubt the Pack will be able to franchise him as a TE with the amount of snaps he's split wide on and with the number of TEs they have rostered I doubt we see him back. Free agency could actually help his value a lot. /bump Finley
