Rosenthal is pretty terrible and Rotoworld's fantasy advice is mediocre at best. The only thing Rotoworld is good at is consolidating up to date information a little quicker than other sites. They don't have any unique content that is worth it's weight.
Rotoworld doesn't need either of those guys to keep things going. They just need a dozen or so minimum-wage outsourced workers to scan the newswires, twitter, etc. 24/7 and re-post what they find to Rotoworld. Then they need a person or two to add a little quip that is often incorrect or doesn't make sense.
Anyone who was paying for their rankings is better off elsewhere anyways.
This.Don't know many people that keep reading once an article hits the "Analysis" part. As long as they keep giving me a quick news feed I'm happy.
Well, not like it matters anymore since they are both gone, but Rosenthal and Wess were #4, 10, 8, and 12 in accuracy per fantasy pros for 2008-2012. I'm curious who you think was more successful during that time (spoiler alert: it wasn't anyone from footballguys). But that wasn't really my point, which was because the two main guys behind RW's paid content are gone, what are the chances that RW's free content - which everyone admits is extremely valuable - will go the way of the dodo, as well?
Because it doesn't look like there are any comparable competitors providing free "up to date information" as you put it. Maybe nfl.com ATL will step into that space
