Upsets this week? (1 Viewer)

I need to gain 2 or 3 to win some moolah. I'm sure some others are in this position. It's the last week and all bets are off.

It is rare that weeks have swings of 3, but it's happened and so has 2 a few times. If I gain by 2 or 3 I win $. So, I need to take some chances this week and gain some games.

If I assume that everyone goes with the vegas line then I need to take a handful of upsets and hope that I have 2 or 3 more winners than losers. That gets tricky. If I pick 5 upsets, I need to go 4-1 to gain 3. If I pick 4 upsets, I need to win 3 to go up by 2.

I guess the question is, how many do I pick and which games?

These are the games, italicized with the vegas favorite and I bolded some potential upsets.

I guess things get incredibly interesting with resting players. My pick'em league is not too savvy, so my guess is that they'll take the expected team to win on a normal day. Although, I can't really be sure....this should be an interesting week.

I like Indy this week. Even if half the Colt offense sits, I don't think Tennessee will be scoring many points on their defense.

Take another look at Carolina vs. TB also. Tampa almost won last week despite sitting some starters; their backups should still be very competitive with Carolina.

This week looks abysmal.

17 Teams have Nothing to play for.

All 8 divisions are clinched, and the Top 4 can all rest players if they want. Dallas still hates Wash and would love to keep them out of the postseason, but TO is out and MB3 may rest. W

SD wants the #3 seed, and LT2 wants the rushing title, so there's a bonus. Pitt / Bal don't like each other, but Pitt has little to play for - and the Ravens stink.

We know what Tampa thinks.

That's 25 teams right there.

Cleveland is "in it", but have no bearing on their fate. They could rest guys too.

The only teams that are also really pushing for a W is Tennessee and the 3 NFC teams trying to get in (Wash, NO, Min). I think Min/Den may be the best game of the day.

The rest of them - meh.

If ever there was an "Exhibit A" for teams not to have Championship Week = Week 17, this is it.
