Venting Thread Week 2 (1 Viewer)

Second week in a row that I'd have scored more points starting Garrard than Brees. What the christ.

Despite the Saints spectacularly bombing out, I'm actually tied right now, with Westbrook vs. LT2 + Cooley remaining. Normally I'd assume I'm screwed but scoring only, plus SD playing the Pats... maybe I still have hope of not starting the season 0-2...

yup, MJD and Deuce. the lowest 2 out of the 6.

 
The team I played today had:

Carson. Palmer

Rudi Johnson

Joey Galloway

Heap

Vinatieri

Jax D

He broke the record for most pts scored in a game for our league (11th year).

To make it worse, I started Kitna over Bulger. And started MJD. And Vernon Davis. Not one of my WR found the end zone (Fitz and Marvin).

Fully expecting LT to go down for the season in the next few minutes.

 
Picked up the Cincy defense because they were playing the lowly Browns. They went out and got me a negative 16 points. The average defense scores around negative 4 points in this league.

Also had Caddy on the bench and started his college buddy Ronnie Brown instead.

Chris Cooley if you are reading this you can save this game with a mere 45 yards receiving tomorrow night. No turnovers Chris

 
With Caddy banged up, I had to go with Jamal Lewis or Brandon Jackson. FootballGuys and other sources all liked Jackson better.

I liked his chances, too and started him.

It's bad enough the other guys went off, but Wynn scored 2 TDs instead of Jackson, too!

After two weeks:

My starting RB TDs (we start 3) = 0

My bench RBs and other RBs on same team (Wynn, Musa Smith) = 6 TDs.

OK, vent over.

 
i drafted a crappy team and am getting HAMMERED this week. best i can hope for this season is .500 and to avoid being relegated. :shrug:

 
Manning underthrows an open Harrison late, costing me points for a long touchdown as well as a bonus points for over 100 yards...go make another commercial you chump. And Kitna's injury cost me as well, though in all honesty I'm glad he came back in.

 
I was up 15.5 going into the Sunday night game. All my opponent had left was Ben Watson. Meaningless catch with 5 min left in the game. He totaled 15.9 points for the week.

Yup...I lost by .4 in my WCOFF matchup.

Watch, Cooley will blow up tomorrow. I sat him for Eric FN Johnson.......

My whole team flat out ####in sucks.

Im gonna go to the beach on Sundays from now on. Ill catch the highlight shows and thats about it.

 
Had the second-highest score in the league this week but lost because stupid Cleveland decided not to have anyone cover Chad Johnson AT ALL and that little turd Wes Welker drived the final nail in the coffin for the cheating Patriots tonight so now I'm sitting at 0-2.

 
Guy I played this week had Palmer, Gore, Parker, Boldin, Housh, A Johnson, Watson, Rackers, and the Cincy D. Put up 199 on me. Good week is about 120. I put up 155 and second highest score, probably won't do that again.

Why not? I thought this was a venting/ranting thread for "all your venting," including "venting about software eg CBS, NFL.COM, MFL etc."
 
Man, needed a little more than 10 points last nigh to pull out a win and had Tomlinson and Keading going for me. I thought it was a sure win, but that's why the game is played I guess.....

 
Put up another great score this week (3rd highest), only to have lost by 1 pt to one of the weaker teams in the league......he started

1) Ocho Cinco.....enough said

2) Gore......nice tackling by STL on his 43yd TD run

3) Picked up D Mason off the WW.....puts him in the lineup and he catches 8 passes? PPR league for WR and TE.

4) Dallas Clark.....that guy has 1 or 2 good games all year long.....one had to be this week.

5) DAL defense.....thanks Trent Green for being color blind and throwing it consistently to the Cowboys.

It came down to last night....he has Rivers, I had Gates. I was down 8 going into the game....and by halftime I tied the score, thanks to Rivers turning the ball over 3 times. But his last 5-yard completion to LT put him over the top. And why did SD punt the ball on 4th down with 3 min left in game? Thanks Norv Turner.

Same here. I pay DirecTV big bucks to be able to watch the Chiefs - they'll be getting an earful from me this week. I understand blacking out games due to local coverage, but make sure that local coverage is live before doing so. Lost almost the entire first quarter...

You guys are lucky. I spent the entire first game on the phone with DirecTV tech support trying to get any games working. Complete system screwup. They are supposed to send someone out here on Friday.This is two weeks in a row (out of two) that I have missed some of the Sunday Ticket games because of DTV tech problems.The HR-20 is a piece of crap.
 
not sure what is worse....

starting T.Bell or facing C.Johnson + K.Winslow this week. those two outscored Bell by a factor of 8.

...of course my other RB options were D.McAllister, D.Foster and D.Williams.

i always thought the benefit of a shotgun approach was that it was hard to completely miss.

L.Jordan is my RB1! :thumbup:

 
When you have what you consider a great draft and then lose in week two (before any byes) to the team that you feel cleary had the worst draft it's just a little too much to take.

You are preaching to the choir, my friend! Last week I was the number one team in my 14-team league and the guy I played only scored 36 points. Now, thanks to a dismal performance by LT, I'm probably going to lose by a few points. I can only hope that Ladell Betts goes for negative points...given the week I've had in fantasy football this weekend, he'll probably score career highs in fantasy points.I'm never listening to fantasy "expert" opinion again. (An obvious lie, but I'm ticked off right now.)Well, I didn't have a great draft, but it was pretty good, especially for a newbie!

Anyone recall Rivers throwing incomplete 5 yards behind a wide open LT last night on the last SD possession?

I lost by 1/2 pt in a ppr league.

 
I lost because I thought Travis Henry would be better than Caddy this week. Oh, and I played a guppy. I love playing guppies.
