Venting Thread Week 4 (1 Viewer)

The team I played this week started Staley and E. Smith as his RB's this week - they were rated 16th and 18th on the cheatsheet. I trot out C. Brown and TJ - rated #2 & 4. I'm thinking it's a good thing that I grabbed all my RB's early in the draft so I don't have to use guys like Staley and Smith. :wall: Wow - Staley beat both my hot shot RB's this week even with the Bus stealing his goalline carries.Willie

PAGING:...Jimmy SmithTo the scoring pages.... anyone, anyone anyone? :yucky:
Let it be known that Jimmy Smith outscored my 3 starting WRs (an every WR on my bench) PLUS my TE COMBINED. (Gardiner + Hilliard + Colebert + Freddie Jones in my lineup, Chris Chambers, Steve Smith & Antonio Bryant on the bench). But, that's not my Rant. My rant is I'm 0-4 with this team:QB - McNabbRB - Chris Brown, Travis Henry, Thomas Jones, Q. GriffenWR - Randy Moss, Torry Holt, Chris Chambers, Jimmy SmithTE - Randy McMichaelK - JanikowskiDEF - Tennesee.I'm the #1 scorer in the league, but have been outscored by 50 points.

Here is my storyHad some very fortunate luck last year getting a few RBs that were sought after this past off season. I had bellieve it or not, Ricky, Barlow, Rudi, D. Davis and Thomas Jones.I traded all but Barlow and Ricky BEFORE Ricky decided he wanted to take a year off at that point I was protecting Manning, Barlow, Ricky and Mason. All those picks and Mason went to get Freddy TaylorSecond my #1 pick in a 4 keeper 10 team league Charles Rogers gets injured his first play, I lost by 3 that week, if Rogers would have scored if he played, one will never knowWeek Two-decided since I have Favre and have read so much about how QBs are worth less I trade Manning for a few 2005 high picks, Brooks and Andre JohnsonWeek Two I win!Week Three: Leave Favre and his 5 TDs on the benchWeek Four: Farve is knocked out and I lose by 6, again would Brett have put up 7 points. Now I am 1-3 and the future looks bleakHere is my team...am I done?QB-Favre/BrooksRB-Taylor/Barlow/PittmanWR-A. Johnson, KRob, Fitz, Muhammad, Driver, StreetsTE-McMichael

You've got Streets and a Driver. You might wanna consider a lengthy roadtrip.(sorry...couldn't resist) :bag:
Not only that, but he has Muhammed to guide him in his quest.

WTF, part 2:Last week, I lost 134-132, in spite of Javon Walker (47) and Jamal Lewis' (29) heroics; I have Vick (-2) to thank for that! This week, I was down 23 pts going into Monday night, with Lewis and Stover on my side. I felt good about my chances. How the heck was I to know that the Baltimore "D" was worthless tonight? Baltimore has second and 2 near the 50 in the waning moments, and naturally they pull Lewis out (??). They then proceed to make a little headway. Finally, on the KC 40 with 4th and 13, they rely on the offensive wizardry of Kyle Boller, rather than trying a long field goal to tie (and thus get me the win on a Matt Stover FG). Thanks to Billick's "genius", I lost 110-108. So, that's 2 losses in 2 weeks by a total of 4 points. I also lost in Week 1 by 11 points, so I'm 1-3.

:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: Why oh why do I play fantasy football? In my 5th year playing, I know more about ff than I've ever known in the past yet I've started the seaso 0-4. This is my worst start since I've been playing. I had a better record when I was clueless. Even the chumps who brought their silly little magazines to draft with them are beating me. Shouldn't more knowledge=more wins? I've been very humbled this year. I'm starting to believe luck is 90% of this game.

I've lost 2 in a row to fall to 2-2 in my local redraft league. In those 2 losses, I've averaged 108 ppg (league average is around 95) & have lost to the highest & 3rd highest scores for the week (I was 3rd & 4th those weeks). Those are the breaks in H2H leagues, though, & I'd be a lot more worried if I wasn't scoring points. It just seems a damned shame to waste 'em in a loss.I'm 3rd overall in points & have yet to get blowup games from Harrison, Chad Johnson, Trent Green, or Fred Taylor.

Ah, nice to wake up and see that I've been Priest Holmesed up the brown again.Maybe I'll get to draft him onto my team by the time he's 42.

I am averaging 106 points/week (3rd most) in my keeper league and am 1-3!!! I lost last week to Javon freakin' Walker :hot: , and this week cuz Baltimore couldn't stop the Priest :wall: I don't know where to improve my team -- Hasselbeck, Dom Davis, Dillon, Foster, Owens, A. Johnson, Roy Williams...
