Vernon Davis (1 Viewer)

I don't know much about his current injury status. I acquired him in a trade today as a throw-in and am wondering if he is worth a roster spot this year >

The 9ers are using their TEs, Davis had 8 targets iun his first game and 3 in the first Q. in the game he was hurt.

EJohn then had 11 targets in that game VDavis was hurt and has had 7 targets then 4 targets.

You should count on Davis, when 100% healthy in about two or three weeks, to average around 5-6 targets a game - some heavy involvement, some lighter involvement, lots of 2-TE sets.

But, given ASmith's current crop of receivers, they WILL use this guy in the passing game.

I am going to try and acquire him off the WW if he survives two more weeks, and I expect I may start him over Ben Watson relatively soon -FF playoff schedule for SF looks very nice.

Me too.

I'm keeping an eye on him as I think he and ASmith could be nice players to have on your team for the FF playoffs.

I'm holding steady on Davis. He was a "throw in" player in a trade I made right after his injury, I'm hoping he catches on just in time for playoffs.

With rosters getting tight thought, not sure how much longer I can keep the guy.

(Rotoworld) 49ers declared TE Vernon Davis, WR Taylor Jacobs, QB Shaun Hill, FB Chris Hetherington, DT Isaac Sopoaga, T Patrick Estes, T Harvey Dahl, and CB B.J. Tucker inactive for Week 8.

Impact: San Francisco finally has its o-line at full strength with the returns of Larry Allen and Jonas Jennings. Davis could be back in Week 10.

This is all i found.

Anyone hear anything since? It would be nice to start this guy again. Thanks :D

BUMP

I've got T.Gonzales and V.Davis is on the WW.

Anybody have any insight onto whether or not he'll play this week. And if he plays, how effective will he be? I'd hate to drop a player just to pick-up another injured TE that won't play this week.

I scooped him up this week but don't expect too much production for week 11. I was looking a bit further down the road, to let him get a productive game in before I started him.
