The owner in my league is dangling him around for some SP help and I can use an OF'er but wasn't sure if Wells is worth it. This is a nasty slump he is in or is should he be avoided? Thanks for your input.

Best time to try to pick him up, he is a notorious streak hitter. Unfortunately, his approach is such that he goes through these droughts, and hot stretches.

Funny you posted this, I was just going to search about him on the forum. I agree with nickZ, I think now is the perfect time to make a move on him. His value is fairly low and the team that has him is just about out of the playoff race, and is not sure if he will keep Wells, so I'm trying to get him cheap.

Who were you thinking about offering for him in a deal?

I had a lot of OF depth and just traded vernon this week....got carlos zambrano for him. i'm a little concerned about carlos but needed some pitching help. i know that wells is a steaky guy but i just ran out of patience with the guy.
