Dear Lord Baby Jesus, please make Brett Favray retire. I can't take this any longer. The entire NFL has been hijacked.

Stat/attention whore does NOT EQUAL great quarterback.

Brett Favre will return. He was all emotional after the game because he doesn't know what he will decide. But every year he talks it over with his family, and every year he comes back. This year should be easy. This is a team on the rise. He is still on top of his game. He may not care about records, but when his wife reasons it out, she can see that they are worth having. And he still has nothing else to do. He is that Anti-Tiki. Football is his life. He will be back.

Not a Farve fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd like to see him take one more attempt at record and the playoffs...

Can someone explain the meaning of the thread title to me?

"VERY EMOTIONAL FAVRE BEAN"

Do emotional Favre beans cry real tears?

Can these Favre beans be planted?

Is there a Favre and the beanstalk tale here somewhere?

I was wondering that myself. I am leaning towards "VERY EMOTIONAL FAVRE HAS BEEN", but that doesn't make a lot of sense either.

think it was a fava bean joke

At the begining of the season I said he should retire and I said GB was terrible as was McCarthy... I was wrong. This team has enough in place to make a run next year and it would be a crime for Farve to not give it one more shot. The Pack has a legit shot if he returns, something I didn't think I would say six months ago.

The man finished 6th in the league in yards with one good receiver and an unproven line. How could GB be better off if he retired?

One of the 3 best I have ever seen in my lifetime play the QB position.

Montana and Marino being the other 2.

He can still ball with the best.

With that said I think he is hanging it up. He was very emotional and maybe he was caught in a moment. But I hope he does return.

The guy is the definition of "warrior".

Football is his life as someone else said. And he leaves it all on the field everytime he steps onto it.

It definitely wouldn't be better off. Not even close. He could still start for probably about 1/2 the teams in the NFL right now.Chicago - yupGB - obviouslyMinn - yupDet - yupPhilly - noDallas - noGiants - debatableWash - yupNO - noCarolina - yupAtlanta - noTB - yupSeattle - noSt. Louis - noSF - yupAZ - yupBalt - toss upCincy - noPitt - noClev - yupNE - noJets - debatableBuff - yup (Losman's gotten better but I'd rather have Brett at this point and time)Miami - yupIndy - noJax - yupTenn - noHouston - yupSD - noDenver - debatableKC - coin toss (I'd go Favre but could understand going with Green)Oak - yupI count only 12 teams with better QB's at this point and time (I waffled on Vick). Another 5 where I think it's real close or basically even (Balt, Giants, Jets, Denver). 15 teams where I think he'd be an improvement. He's not the best QB in the league like he once was but he's not close to being the worst.

He looked like he was enjoying himself during the game Sunday, and was fun to watch. Looked like vintage Favre to me, even though the Bears were taking the game off. I'd like to see him come back again next year, I think he can still play at a better than league average level - which is better than any alternatives the Packers will have.
