How many touches did Gore get in the second half tonight? And of those, how many were anything else than a run into the middle of the line? So yes, he got some touches but not in a great position to do anything.

Yes, I'm frustrated- all I needed was 18 more yards from Gore tonight to win, and they just kept not giving him the ball. You would think with the game on the line, they would put the ball in the hands of by far their best player, but apparently not.

Is this the effect of Norv leaving the 9ers? No offensive imagination? If so, I'll try to trade Gore for Addai straight up tomorrow.

Any other frustrated Gore owners? What do you think about the rest of the season? If they won't let him go off against the cardinals, I'm really not hopeful the rest of the way.

Gore didn't help himself by dropping 2 balls that him in both hands, but I know what you're saying. You'd think they get more creative in ways to get their best player the ball. But you also have to figure that the 49ers felt they upgraded at WR and TE so Gore doesn't have to be the whole offense this year.

while that may be true, i think norv plays a role in how involved the rbs are in the offense considering he designs and calls the plays... for some reason, i cannot get lamont jordan and stephen davis out of my head... gore is obviously more talented than them, so he's in a different situation

Come on now fellas, you can't tell me that you don't know why he had a reduced roll last night. This is Frank's first game action since last year. Remember he missed the entire pre-season and ala LJ and LT, he needs a game or two to get into game shape. I thought he looked strong all things considered. Unless he gets injured, i think he is a lock for top three, possibly second behind only LT.

If he got those 18 yards, would you think he's great again?Now, realize that 18 yards is nothing. It's 1.8 points. Statistically, that's a sneeze for that kind of sample size. If you're seriously thinking about trading Gore, you need to take a step back and face reality, not your own subjective mindset.

This is just a guess, but the 49ers probably don't care about your fantasy team. And it takes more than the performance of a single player to win a game. If you truly drafted well, a single loss won't matter.

Actually, not giving the ball to your best player in the second half of a close game is pretty imaginative.

Yeah, guys, I know I needed to calm down. I was drunk and frustrated (I'm a pretty good speller and punctuater when drunk, though, huh?)

Anyway, it just didn't make sense to me that they weren't using Gore more. They had the lead for a good chunk of the game and were going three and out because Alex Smith is gifted at chucking passes over the head of his receivers. There was plenty of open room on the field and a smart OC would have taken advantage of it. Instead, they kept running Gore into the middle of the line, or having him block a blitzer while Smith threw the ball away, or even on a couple of plays having Gore pick up the extra rusher while they passed to the FB. It just didn't make sense. I know they don't care about my fantasy team, but I thought that they did care about getting their amazing RB the ball. If not, I don't feel as hopeful about Gore this season as I was last week.
