After the Vick discussion I got to wondering which QB you'd rather have. I am not endorsing either one nor am I going to post any relevant data but rather see where the feel for these two guys are.

Which QB would you rather have on your team right now? If all things are equal with the team, which QB would you rather have leading your team? Please post your thoughts and reasoning.

I have both so it is an interesting question for me. Both were huge in the beginning of the season. Both Vick and Farve have led me to 5-1. Leinart is my only other qb on my roster and we have to start 2 qbs. Both qbs have their issues. Farve can throw 4 ints any given day and Vick can get totally shut down. These issues are not that hurtful though because Farve is always playing from behind so he is going to throw the ball 40+ times a game. Vick may get shut down, but he is good for either a passing or rushing td a game. He gets yards in the air and he gets points with his rushing yards. If I had to choose I would take Farve. Driver is healthy after bye week and Jennings is the real deal.

interesting, chaser, because i also have both as starters and would pick vick. favre is feast or famine. vick has gotten me double digit points weekly.

I'd rather have Vick in a system better suited to his skills than Favre. Vick can do things that no other QB can and if used properly is a nightmare for defenses.

Vick can do thing no other qB does..and not all good! :D

Interesting for me as I had Favre and Vick, played QBBC with them. Traded for Leinart as I feel he will be HUGE second half of the season. I then wanted to move one of Vick/Favre to upgrade elsewhere.

I chose to move Vick.

Though that might be more because he had more perceived value than Favre thus I got more for him.

If I had a choice of Vick or Favre as a starting qb (with say a Losman-type as the clear backup) I would prob. choose Vick.

As another poster noted, even in a bad week (such as last) Vick got me 18pts thanks to his legs. If Favre ####s the bed, you are looking at a 7pt game.

Therefore, for constistancy sake as an every-week starater, I'd take Vick simply bc he has less of a floor on his bad games than Favre.

Of course you'd also have to burn a roster spot with Schaub if you are counting on Vick as an every-week starter, so that might have to factor into your equation.

It may factor into the equation with Favre as well. The Packers are not going to be playing for a playoff spot late in the year and Aaron Rogers may be getting snaps during the fantasy playoffs.

Assuming by your avatar you are GB homer, so will take your statement with more grains of salt than others'. ;)However, IMO, there is big diff. in backup QBs for both QBs. In Vick's case, he has proven history of missing time due to injury, and Schaub has produced in interim. With Favre, you are talking about a literal Midwest instituation who has never missed a start. Using a spot for Rodgers you are basically saying that GB is going to bench Lord Favre if the team is 2-9, which I don't see happening. It's not like benching Bledsoe or Brunell. We are talking about Brett ####### Favre.

No doubt, Brett will start. The odds that Aaron Rodgers gets a series a half or some amount of playing time during the fantasy playoffs must be factored into the decision of owners.

Fair play and good point. Didn't consider Favre playing 2.5 quarters then yielding to Rodgers.

I think Vick has the 16th most rushing yards in the NFL and leads the league in YPC. I love this in a QB. As a passer?... not so much. However, 100 and a TD rush = 200 and 2 pass in my league... sprinkle in some passing points and this guy is still a great start in my book.

Favre. Vick remains a running back posing as a QB. WAH blame it on the OC, WAH blame it on not having Marvin Harrison. WAH what would I do in Indy. Nice leader.
