Video ports don't work (1 Viewer)

I was gifted a decent computer with a high end I5, ssd drive, 16 gbs of ram.

The motherboard has two DVI ports and no signal comes out of them. The monitors all recognize they're plugged in but no picture. One monitor reads "check video cable."

This was his prob, why he gave it to me.

I plugged a USB to VGA cable in but without the means to install drivers that doesn't work

The DVI ports have a little wiggle to them. Is there anything I can solder? Can I use my DVOM to check for signal? (Maybe significant- the DVI cable barely fits and was a bear to get on there. I've never had any difficulty plugging them in before)

I'm looking for some cheap repair idea here. Duct tape level repair/hack idea here is fine

Try installing a graphics card and plug monitor in to that?  (Assuming your currently using the onboard video ports)

Such as This  or similar.

profit?

thanks. I did figure that. I've never soldered the ports or done any work on them. I thought maybe someone here has or has some other idea.
