Just traded for him.sounds like ADP really could be back in 2-3 weeks. Great news if you're an ADP owner.
Interesting tidbit. AD is still 200+ yards ahead of FWP in the rushing title race. There's a possibility that AD will be the leading NFL rusher for at least two more weeks.EdwardCat said:Just traded for him.gtdmb1 said:sounds like ADP really could be back in 2-3 weeks. I just traded him (redraft). I have no idea what will happen to him, but I was offered a decent RB, so I figured a guy playing is better than a week-to-week guy on a team basically out of the playoff hunt. IMO, if/when comes back, he'll be back to splitting with Taylor the rest of the season. That being said, AD can bust out a 60yd TD run at any moment so limited carries might not be an issue.I do hope he comes back and does well, even if he's not on my team any more. The guy has unbelievable talent. I hope to grab him next year but it will probably require the #1 or #2 pick.EdwardCat said:Just traded for him.gtdmb1 said:sounds like ADP really could be back in 2-3 weeks. Why in the world would they even think of bringing him back?
I disagree with the idea of him splitting more with Taylor. IF he comes back they will feel he is in no danger of making the injury worse and he will get a full load of carries. Otherwise, they won't play him at all. That is my opinion.I just traded him (redraft). Maybe the guy likes to play football? The Vikings are going nowhere. Why in the world would they even think of bringing him back? My heart of hearts tells me he will pack it in the rest of the year, or until they get a new QB.
If that were the case they should have shut him down a month ago.The Vikings are going nowhere. Why in the world would they even think of bringing him back? My heart of hearts tells me he will pack it in the rest of the year, or until they get a new QB.
I never get the logic that "they are out of the playoffs, so just shut him down."They are paid to play games EVERY WEEK. Not just when it matters. This is a fan's game and the fans that pay to see the team in the final weeks of the season deserve to see the best team that can be reasonably fielded....they have an off-season to heal as well.If that were the case they should have shut him down a month ago.The Vikings are going nowhere. In a perfect world you are correct, players shouldn't play hurt or half healed since it can lead to other injuries. However, if you applied this rule to every player in the NFL then rosters would have to be twice their current size and the product would be watered down. Teams want to win now,,,each week. Coaches don't want any losses on their record. Even meaningless wins and losses count against the coaches record. The fans want to see improvement heading into the next season to give them something to hang their hopes on. Ownership wants to keep selling tickets, beer, hot dogs and T-shirts. There is plenty to play for even after a team can't make the playoffs, namely,,,pride. He should only come back this year if the Doctors agree that there is NO risk of more permanent damage resulting from this injury. Naturally, there is a risk every time you play, but if there is a GREATER risk because he came back too early, then he should not come back this year. The guy could be the greatest running back the world has ever seen, and yes, the Vikings front office should be VERY cautious with this, as their long term financial status might depend on it. I would avoid listening to Brad Childress, fantasy football owners of ADP, his agent, or ADP himself. All of these have ulterior motives for wanting him to play early.
What are you so happy about? You said in the other thread that he's most likely out for the season.EdwardCat said:Just traded for him.gtdmb1 said:sounds like ADP really could be back in 2-3 weeks. Great news if you're an ADP owner.![]()

The only reason to shut down a player is if there is some heightened long-term or career threatening injury risk of playing.
Also, in ADP's case, he has added bonus incentives in his contract, so he'll want to play....plus ROY is a nice resume builder.
If Peterson can play, he will.
Me too.I just can't tell if the broad has a big honker or if its my eyes messing with me. Or, if its my eyes getting confused with the breastages. No offense if she's Mrs. Phlash, btw. I'd gladly take big tatas over a slightly larger than normal nose anyday.Good night Phlash...love your avatar.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3112703While the Vikings (3-6) have not declared a timetable for his return, they've promised him back this season despite their essential elimination from playoff contention. There's no rush, though, to come back too soon for the sake of records.
"Just being smart about it," Peterson said.
