Vikings QB for 2011 (1 Viewer)

Obviously a huge, gaping hole on Minnesota's roster next year at QB.

They have Peterson, Rice, a good O-line and a very solid defense.

Do they make a trade? Are there any free agents?

Surely they won't draft a QB and go with that guy, right?

Vikings fans/homers, chime in and let me know what you think. It might affect some of us who are picking up "flyers" for next year in dynasty leagues.

Sage is on the Giants roster.

I have no idea what they're going to do.

If it were me, and I could have my ideal Madden-like trade, I'd give Buffalo the Vikes #1 and Bryant McKinnie for the #1 overall and take Luck. Move Loadholt to the left side and draft a right tackle in the 3rd.

1) Draft QB

2) Sign a FA QB like Palmer.

3) Have 7-9, 8-8 9-7 type season.

Well to be honest they have lot of holes to fill.

Pat's have that 3rd round pick from the Moss Deal. :goodposting:

On a Titans board, we have a similar Madden-like trade to get Luck as well. :goodposting:Give up CJ and our 1st for Mike Goodson and their first.Hate to lose CJ, but QB's are what wins super bowls.

No kidding. They need to replace the entire defensive secondary (Winfield can't play forever), likely replace half the defensive line, and acquire 2-3 new starters on the o-line.

 Of course. And of course, I also meant Carolina, not Buffalo - in which case the deal falls apart since the Panthers don't need a left tackle like the Bills do.

That's what I get for sleeping only 3 hours last night. :coffee:

Gotta disagree here Andy. After rehab, Griffin should be able to go. I think Cook will be a good player too. Antoine can play in the slot for a bit longer. They do need to find a legit safety though.Wish I had seen Mallett play more, as that's the name I keep hearing people bring up.

Griffin is now playing on two surgically repaired knees and Cook looks to be just as injury prone in the pros as he was in college. All the safeties are terrible.

Not a bad solution. Wonder if they'd be more interested in Mallett or Newton.
Mallett seems to be the hot name, but I like Newton.Newton is either the next Cullpepper (He did have some good years) or the next Vick. And Newton,Web,Rice,AP and Harvin sounds like fun!

Mallett has Bengal/Bill written all over him
You shut yo mouf. :unsure:I wonder if the Bills might not actually go with Fitzpatrick going forward.
sorry dude but IMO after the combine Mallet will go to the very next QB hungry team after Luck goes to Carolina. Thats Buffalo. Fitzpatrick is not a NFL franchise QB. San Fran/Arizona/ Cleveland/ Cincy/ Washington/ Tennessee. All might be needinga QB and have the same record or worse as Minny

To be honest, if the Eagles decide Vick is the answer, then I have to see them putting Kolb on the market. And with the Eagles history (McNabb, Feely), it'll be a 2nd round pick for him.

They will draft a rookie, move Webb to #2

IF there is a Next year, I have a feeling that McNabb will be the Viking Starting Qb next year..

Sounds like the next Vince Young to me

Vick is an enormous talent, but he is an injury waiting to happen. Can't see the Eagles going forward without a first class replacement.

I'd imagine they'll be after one of the non-Luck quarterbacks in the first, though they may not be in a position to do so given the need at the position. This team has more holes than many might believe. The offensive line has been bad for two years now and they need to rebuild; Hutchinson and McKinnie are both nearing the end of the road. Loadholt on the left side just sounds like a disaster to me. This offense could be pretty ugly next year.
