Is he practicing with the team? How much time will he need to get into "game shape"? I am considering trading Marshall for him for the playoff run. dont know what to do. Marshall is killing me, and I dont see Pennington as an upgrade

He has been practicing with the team since week 8. He is roster exempt for 3 weeks and will be eligible to play in week 12.

I'll tell you what he's doing! He's taking my squads straight to the

Promised Land baby boy!!!

I just need Brandon Lloyd to get me through these next 2-3 weeks!!!

VJAX COMETH ...

I traded V-Jax in midseason for Colston therefor the fantasy gods will punish me with V-Jax having the best 5 games of his career from weeks 12-16

Besides a small mention of him looking good in practice and some quotes from Gates saying he looked energetic and ready to go I have not heard anything. Wish we could hear a little more about how he looks.

I've had him rostered in a couple of leagues for awhile now. Initially I wasn't expecting too much from him when he comes back, but I've changed my expectations. Mainly because: he is practicing with the team. He seems to be getting along with management. The Chargers are right in the thick of the playoff hunt. Rivers has been playing lights out. The other WR options on the the team are now banged up.

I see no reason not to expect top production from him the minute he steps back on the field. I would guess he'll easily produce in the top 7-10 WRs going forward upon his return. Is there any reason to expect otherwise?

All the reasons mentioned in this post are why I'm optimistic about the VJax's return. The biggest of course being that Rivers is in a pass happy offense, has been lights out this season, and just ask Jacob Tamme what a stellar QB in any pass happy offense can do for your stats!!

I just agreed to trade Marshall for him. at 5 points a week from Marshall, I guess it is worth the gamble

Attention Marshall owners. Be prepared for Marshall to go off for the rest of the season...thanks to my trade...you are welcome, I accept paypal

He'll pull a hammy in week 13 and be done for the season.
what is it with people on these boards wishing for injuries on players? Someone on here is prolly related to a player, how would you like it if someone wished an injury on a family member?

I know this might be more of an AC question but whatever

With Rivers slinging Marino style, would anyone start Vjax and Gates in a TE 1.5ppr and WR 1 ppr league

For the same reason you'd start Wayne and Clark/Tamme, I don't see why not.

:hophead: You may be a little thin-skinned for this board. I don't think he 'wished' an injury on him. He was making a joke.

I believe CrossEyed was making a prediction of what VJ will do to protect himself, basically that he would fake an impossible-to-disprove injury so he could accrue a season while not risking his body or his big contract next season. On the other hand VJ does have an incentive to go out and prove he is still an elite player and not a trouble maker.I'm inclined to think he'll go out there and play his best, but it certainly wouldn't shock me if he was felled by a phantom injury
