Has taken an environmental beating though between this and the ongoing melting glaciers. :(

Don’t know about airline tix, but Reykjavik is extremely expensive.

Yep.  Went there years ago for work.   Had a very basic, boring dinner of fish/potato/veggies for about $70/person.  Without tax or wine pairing.   Final bill was like $2200 for 12 people all in.  And this wasn’t a some gourmet place.  It was just a meal.
