Jene I was interested in what John had to say about Timmons' situation this year. Do you have an collaborating or contradicting thoughts?

So was I. That was a conversation we had earlier in the day that I thought was important to get recorded.I didn't pick up on the same things, but I was watching Timmons' technique more than his alignment. I'm not quite as concerned about the alignment changes -- I think they've always moved Timmons inside and outside the tackle box, but it's notable for Foote's upside.

not sure where else to ask this, but is there a way to ONLY get the IDP roundtable Podcasts instead of the other audible things? For whatever reason it seems I have to actually "get" the IDP one from iTunes where the other audible pdocsts seem to download automatically.

I watched the game film. I thought Timmons was a little slow and tentative in the first half but not terrible (and perhaps a little heavier than last year?) However, he looked stronger as the game progressed. His position shifted a little here and there, but most of the snaps I saw still had him on the inside. I still think he looks about like the LB he was projected to be. LB2 with top 15 upside. I think he does have a higher floor than last year's numbers would suggest.

You can download the podcasts and listen directly from the homepage but they are a part of the Audible subscription on iTunes. There may be a way to set up iTunes such that you don't have to click to download "extra" podcasts after the most recent automatic download, but I'm not sure.

I believe audio transcription has been investigated and not thought to be a cost-effective or reliable option. I'll check again, but it would be 2013 at the earliest before it would be implemented. I'd love to transcribe them myself but I unfortunately don't have the time.If you're a subscriber, I write our show notes / plan directly from my Reading the Defense column, then get input from John on his EOTG feature and add in things from the Forum that seem like hot topics. It's extremely rare to hear something on the show that we don't discuss in detail in our weekly columns and the columns are usually more extensive discussions than what we have time for on the show.
