W7 Game Thread - Minnesota V Seattle (1 Viewer)

Can you see why I like Hackett? Dude makes plays. Has solid hands and will go up and snatch the ball.

Seahawk possesion, on the 20, let's see how this goes. PLENTY of TIME, regardless of what's been threaded. Down 11 points with 12+ minutes left... this is not the NFL of 1974.
Wouldn't have anything to do with the fact the Vikings Defense has been shutting down the Running game all day:1-10-SEA 20 (12:39) M.Morris left end to SEA 19 for -1 yards (K.Udeze).2-11-SEA 19 (12:05) S.Wallace pass short middle to D.Hackett to SEA 28 for 9 yards (E.Henderson).3-2-SEA 28 (11:30) S.Wallace pass incomplete deep middle to D.Branch. PENALTY on MIN-F.Smoot, Illegal Use of Hands, 5 yards, enforced at SEA 28 - No Play.1-10-SEA 33 (11:24) S.Wallace pass short right to M.Morris to SEA 37 for 4 yards (C.Griffin, A.Winfield).2-6-SEA 37 (10:51) M.Morris up the middle to SEA 35 for -2 yards (R.Edwards).Never mind.. you are right..KEEP RUNNING Seahawks.. My Vikings could use the win.

LOL what a bad call. I know Minn was expecting that. running sideways when you need one yard.

running wallace would have been a better play than that.

don't pass sideways. or run the ball. may as well get some practice passing down field, there's nothing to lose now.

Boioioioing... lovely... ladies and gentlmen, we're taking bids for the NFC West...
Were you expecting someone to go undefeated in the NFC West? Just trying to antagonize someone? Teams have up and down games. It happens.
It seemed pretty apparent to me that he was operating under the assumption that Hasselbust is done for the year.
Or operating while under the influence of stupidity. Either or.

:bye: Good win for the Vikes today. Even factoring in the Hasselbeck injury the Vikes completely outplayed the Hawks today something I just didn't see coming. Tough trip to KC next week as well. :X

Could be worse. We face the Patriots.  :scared:Should be fun though. A monday nighter at home vs. The Patriots.

This is one of those games that sets a tone for the season. You can hear it in Terry Donahughe's voice. What's the word...ahh yes... RESPECT.

This is a statement game, my friends. Regardless of Hasselbust's injury, the D is making a statement. This is not your, uhh, older brother's Vikings. We have a D to be feared. And we're gonna tear your *** up!

When the season is said and done, I believe that we will be able to look back at this win as a "wake up" call to the rest of the league that we are no pushovers.

Feels good.

I'll second that. Minnesota was certainly the better team today.

er correct me if I'm wrong but Hass got hurt and was out and SA didn't play. Am I supposed to be impressed?

Yes. Didn't matter that much. Vikings defense played well in this game just like they have for the majority of the season.BR, remember that talk we had about why people don't like you? Well, this another one of those times.

Even before Hasselbaeck got hurt the Vikings Defense was holding them in check.Granted missing SA was huge. But the Vikings Defense hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in something like 17 games. :football:

You should be especially the way the Minnesota offense ran against the Hawks.

Other than the 95 yard run, I wasn't that impressed. Seattle shut the run down well. In fact, they stuff that 95 yarder at the line of scrimmage very nicely, but Taylor bounced it outside for the big gain.26 for 16925 for 74 with the one carry removed. 2.9 yards per carry is not noteworthy IMO.
