Waiver wire darling (1 Viewer)

14 man league, 18 men rosters, we played 10 years, and...

herron and bryant johnson are available.

and im the guy who found gado..so give me a break about those guys being on anybodys fantasy team.

if they were then there were some pretty decent player on the waiver wire instead of them.

I actually think smaller leagues can be tougher than big leagues. While there are people available on the WW, you are forced to play match-ups more, because every week you have to make the decision - "is the guy on my roster better than the guy on the WW?"

Shallower leagues typically have more add/drops, which means you have to be more of an active owner - you can't simply read message boards to find that deep sleeper, because studs will be available. Deciding between studs can actually be tougher, because it's less obvious what you are supposed to do.

Heck, I picked up Lamont Jordan of the WW yesterday for a bye-week fill in (league has 14 roster spots, start 11, so with only 3 bench positions, there is no room for poor performing players).

Every league is different, and every league is challenging. I'm tired of the isnobbery from guys who think that just because a league is deep, it's tough. bottom line is a league with 8 knowlegeable, informed players is going to be much tougher than a league with 14 idiots.

:goodposting: Personally, I prefer leagues with smaller rosters because it gives an advantage to people who actually keep up on fantasy news. I used to play in a 12-team/21-man league, and everyone just sat on their roster all season.

I'm in Art Vandalay's 47-team, 53-man roster Genius League, so allllllllllllllll of these guys were drafted quite early in THAT highbrow test of will. However, in my other leagues, Battle is hanging around my primary dynasty league's wire, but I had him once already this year and he blew. Also, no one in that league will touch Eric Parker for some reason, even though it's PPR. Herron is out there but he won't be around by the time I pick. Incredibly, I stashed Bryant Johnson three weeks ago. I'll look at Herron real closely for my 0-6 secondary dynasty team, which I'm renaming "The Adrian Petersons." If no one took Gradkowski last week, he's a possibility. Also Curry and Hakim, as I'm confident Roy the Toy's injury will linger as usual. Jurevicius. Malcolm Floyd - - perhaps more of a dynasty pick? Romo, no matter what Parcells says. Alex Smith of Tampa. Welker now that Booker is hurt.
You'd be lucky to get Jeff George in Art's league. :loco: Based on sportsline...Leon Washington is available in about 75% of the leaguesBryant Johnson in about 60%Welker is certainly there, and Harrington looked WAY better than CPep has. McMichael even got involved with Joey back there.Gradkowski actually looked decent if you have some crappy QBs. Seems to have a connection with Galloway. They are the most viable. To me the rest are trash (Battle, Az-Hakim, Curry, Parker)...just no chance for consistency.

:goodposting: Our league is 12 team, 14 roster spots, with 4 RB and 4 WR limits. It keep the WW very active...adding $5 a pop to the money pool. It usually ups our pot by about $1K. It also makes it WAY more difficult to manage bye weeks, leading to interesting drafting techniques to avoid bye week issues. Things you don't have to even consider in deep leagues. It probably discourages trading cause you feel like you can find someone on the WW, but we found trades weren't happening much before the change. So sure you wanted to pick up Leon Washington three weeks ago, but I'd be dropping Jamal to do it....not a chance that's happening.

I don't know why I read threads like this and I wonder what type of elementary school league most people on this site play in that these guys are actually available in your leagues. No one mentioned in this thread is available in my league. I wish I had some of the competition I read about here. Unbelieveable!
I hate morons like you. EVERY LEAGUE HAS DIFFERENT ROSTER SIZES IDIOT!
:goodposting: People like this need to be punched in the mouth. Can't stand them.
Hey Wildcat - "Bring it! I am in NY - Let me know if you want to stop by and get together! :)" Gee, I guess I didn't think that maybe other leagues don't have the same amount of teams that my league does. Duh. You are so smart! For what it is worth, if you are playing in anything less than a 10 team league, and that is a little lame imo, than your league is a total joke regardless of the rules. Yes Noah Herron is on a team in my league and for cryin out loud, Jones-Drew was DRAFTED in the same league. BTW, I am in a 14 team league in case you were wondering. Either way, no one should need to read that they should think about picking up Jones-Drew, Bryant Johnson. Check out your waivers and see if there is a guy named Tomlinson out there. I hear he is pretty good too!
Staten Island, NY here. What part of NY should I goto?

Maybe he'd be willing to clue us in on his Survivor Contest team so he can prove how he's such a dominant fantasy force. Unless of course she's all talk
