Slim pickings on the waiver wire for fantasy defenses this week assuming the hot defenses from last week are taken. If you scooped up DEN, MIA, SD, or DET you did very well.
Heres how I see it for week 10:
BAL vs OAK: I hate to say it, but the Raiders defense is going through transition and though they have the capability to score points, this game could get ugly early. The loss of McFadden is like losing several pistons on a V8 motor. Carson Palmer is a turnover machine. Baltimore should be a strong play at home.
PHI vs DAL: The home team in a bitter rivalry is a good bet to score TD's and Tony Romo has the rep of choking in games like these.
IND at JAX: Previously discussed but repeated here. Any defense that plays against Blaine Gabbert is a safe fantasy defense and Indy is no different this weekend.
I tried to find value in Carolina, NY Jets, Tampa, KC, BUF, TEN, NOS, JAX. But I can't recommend any of these. Maybe starting your bye week defense and taking a zero is safer. Ill assume that PIT is owned and they have a marvelous matchup against KC at home. Minnesota's DST is all but droppable now when you look at their schedule going forward, yuck.
