Waiver wire defense (1 Viewer)

Yes the Vikings are a waiver wire defense in my league anyways. They have Greenbay this weekend and then New England next week, week 9 is a better chance to start them against Arizona.

What exactly has been the problem with this once stellar unit this season? Do you see things improving homers? Are they worth a grab and stash?

They need the offense to do a better job of ball control. In addition thier secondary remains a weakness with Griffin out for year again. Lito Sheppard is horrible and was burned on Roy Williams and Dez Bryant td's last game. I think that they can rebound as Moss should help keep defenses somewhat honest.

If you are looking for a DST to play this week, one that is available in most leagues (that I have seen) is the Denver Broncos, home against an Oakland Raiders team that likely does not have Gradkowski and will have to play Jason Campbell or maybe even Kyle Boller at QB

I do like the Vikings to improve but I doubt they reach the level we expected before the season started

Nah Im rolling with the 49ers this week, I also own Philly who I'm benching. This is a long term grab and I would probably use them week 9 for sure as Philly is playing Indy that week and the 49ers have a bye. I am not trying to post this as a AC forum type question anyway. I have already pretty much decided Im dropping the 49ers for them in week 9, I am just interested in whether or not they have some upside and might be worth holding beyond that. Just looking for more insight on why they have struggled and if there is a possibility of a turnaround. I remember not too long ago the Vikings were right up there with Pittsburgh as the defense to own. Now they are on the waiver wire? that is amazing really.
