was that a Marshawn Lynch sighting? (1 Viewer)

After being dismally ineffective in week 1 (7 carries for 6 yards) , CJ Spiller was a complete non-factor this week (1 carry for 3 yards, 4 catches for 23 yards), although one has to be surprised he got so few carries to prove his worth in week 2.

What surprising me even more though was Lynch getting the majority of carries (17 for 64 yards): despite Fred Jackson getting the goalline call (and the score) he only carried the rock nine times (for 39 yards) and I was under the impression Lynch was a clear 3rd in the pecking order.

That's 3.76 ypc for Lynch vs. 4.33 ypc for Jackson for those counting at home, not that I'd read much into that.

so what do we make of this, if anything? Clear as mud huh?

Is it time to go fish Spiller (buy low)? is Lynch a worthy WW pickup (probably available in 2 thirds of leagues) as a backup perhaps? Do you think a potential trade is still a possibility for the Bills what with RBs of "starting caliber" on their roster (and if so were they showing off their Lynch product hoping to lure in a buyer?).

The most sane conclusion is probably to stay clear of any and all Buffalo Bill.

The only thing I think that makes sense is that Buffalo was showcasing Lynch to 1) the most likely suitor in a live audition, 2) to the rest of the league, both in hopes that the compensation received for Lynch is increased.

Didn't see much of the game, but Lynch's stat line looked good and saw 1 run of his which looked good as well.

As a Spiller owner (which I'm not) you'd have to be concerned if they don't move Lynch as it seems like he may be the most effective RB on that team, and at the very least, deserving of enough carries to make Buffalo even more of a RBBC hell.

Lynch is a horse. He is a runner that gets better as the game goes on and as he gets carries. He would be a perfect fit in Green Bay once the cold starts.Obvious Lynch owner

all that being said, all this trade talk, is that based on any published rumor anywhere, or merely "common sense", wishful thinking and expert speculation?

Agree, IIRC he made a comment after Week 1 saying how the carries were split out to much (Jackson got 4, Spiller 7 and Lynch 3) and that he said something to the affect of "no body was given enough carries to get into a groove" This makes it sound like he'd rather one person get all 14 and the other 2 none, even if it meant he was one of the 2 that got none. IMO it shows what kind of player he is, one that needs the ball in his hands and gets into the game, getting better as the game moves on (as you said.)
