Has anyone read anything on what kind of Hitters park the new stadium will be. Will Ryan Zimmerman put up some big numbers in this park? Draft on Friday and thinking of targeting Zimmerman in round 3.
Round 3? Of a keeper league maybe where some other guys have been kept. Here's a gem from Rotoworld via the Washington Post...GM Jim Bowden predicted the Nationals' new ballpark will slightly favor pitchers.
"There are a few times I've been there when the wind comes in from left field, swirls around a little and goes out to right-center" Bowden said. "Is that going to happen when the season starts? I don't know.
But I know it's going to be more hitter-friendly than RFK. I also know it's going to be a pitcher's park. It's certainly not a Philadelphia, Cincinnati or Wrigley Field bandbox." We'll see. We're projecting it as though the park will play pretty neutral.
