Washington Nationals Old Place vs New Place (1 Viewer)

Has anyone read anything on what kind of Hitters park the new stadium will be. Will Ryan Zimmerman put up some big numbers in this park? Draft on Friday and thinking of targeting Zimmerman in round 3.

Round 3? Of a keeper league maybe where some other guys have been kept. Here's a gem from Rotoworld via the Washington Post...GM Jim Bowden predicted the Nationals' new ballpark will slightly favor pitchers."There are a few times I've been there when the wind comes in from left field, swirls around a little and goes out to right-center" Bowden said. "Is that going to happen when the season starts? I don't know. But I know it's going to be more hitter-friendly than RFK. I also know it's going to be a pitcher's park. It's certainly not a Philadelphia, Cincinnati or Wrigley Field bandbox." We'll see. We're projecting it as though the park will play pretty neutral.

Bolded is the most important statement. Anything better for hitters than JFK will be welcomed.fwiw, I took Zimmerman in the 3rd round (3.20 or 60th overall) in a redraft points league. He was the 9th 3B off the board (that includes Braun and Figgins, both of whom are the only 3Bs on their respective teams). I would have taken him ahead of Figgins for sure, and maybe Chipper, in this format.
