not only did we win the league, but came in 4th overall to bag over 20k. we also picked up colston after the 1st week

That's cool. However, the draft for my WCOFF-style league was last night. If I win, I'll be looking for next year's version of your article, since the winner gets a paid entry to the 2008 WCOFF.

Notice that you had two homeruns. Drew in the 13th and Colston in WW. If you look at the top scorers in WCOFF this seems universal. The champs also had two Colston in the 20th and Mike Furrey as a waiver wire. To win at WCOFF you need a reasonable (not necessarily great, though yours were better than the other top finishers, but they all had LT or LJ) . top 10 and two homeruns after the 10th and in waivers.

I havent researched it in that regard but im certain you are correct. i'm also certain that all the top teams had at least 1 if not 2 in their top 10 that seriously outperformed adp. and the other thing that is also universal for the top teams is LUCK! We barely got into the league champioship game on points, only had a 6-5 record. Then we won the league title game on Drivers 80 yd td in the snowy Seattle monday night game. But for that we dont even make the champioship round, which is when drew and bush went bonkers.
