WDIS in the Flex position??? (1 Viewer)

First week you go with the guy you planned to start when you drafted him.......I assume that is Pierce. I don't really rely on matchups for week 1 because you really don't know who is good or bad defense wise until a few games are played. Go with who you drafted to start until proven otherwise.

Yeah, OK, having thought through this a bit more, just because I'm somewhat optimistic on Pierce on the season doesn't mean I'm required to be optimistic on game one in Baltimore. Baltimore had the third ranked run D last year and Roquan Smith and Patrick Queen are healthy and ready. Ravens take a big lead Stroud is going to have to air it out, maybe even as early as the second quarter. I'll start Cooks Sundy night and hope he pulls down 4-5 passes.

That was last year. THis is a new year. Should they be good? Sure but it doesn't mean they will be. Deciding solely on matchups for week 1 is always a gamble as we don't know what this year brings.

Cooks is also in a spot that isn't necessarily ideal. New team, second fiddle (or third) behind Lamb/Pollard/Gallup? What's to say Pierce doesn't catch a ton of dump offs in prevent mode?

My point is you likely drafted Pierce to start him. I would do that for week 1 and see if I am proven wrong.

Sort of dropped a tad of sass to provoke some more responses, (meh,.. didn't work)... I didn't specifically target Pierce, but figured he was worth a 5th round pick in a 12 team league...

I get your point,.. I'll likely go with Pierce.

Thanks for answering BTW.

Standard WDIS questions usually don't get a ton of input and if you do it is generally start A over B with no real reasoning. It can get frustrating as knowing the reasoning is the important part. Just spouting out the player with nothing else is kind of useless. (maybe that is enough sass to jump start some conversation...hahah)
