Weather Channel: Local on the 8s (1 Viewer)

When I had TWC it was local, when I switch to DTV it was national. I never checked on FIOS. Perhaps thats it?

They do about 10 seconds of local map, not even mentioning what the weather was going to be like in the area - and then they switch to regional radar (NE/SE/SW/NW). WTF Do I need to know what the weather is like in the PNW?
They used to do what weather was going to be Today, tonight, and then Tomorrow's weather. As well as a 10 day forecast and regional radar map.
ETA: I have Verizon Fios

Local on the 8s never give the correct temps in my area. They are always at least 5 degrees off of what's really out there. Maybe they aren't so local?

This used to piss me off big time, you'd put the weather channel on and there was no current weather, just some tornado film from 10 years ago.
But recently they have been showing the local band on the bottom all the time and on the 8's they just fill up the screen.
btw on a related subject, the tv guide network no longer shows a tv guide.
