Interesting stats from ESPN magazine a few weeks back. Cold weather really has no effect on passing statistics according to their findings. The top 15-20 coldest games in NFL history (many in recent decades) show passing stats all over the map. So if its wise to ignore the thermometer when deciding on playing a WR or QB what about wind, snow and rain? How about excessive heat or humidity? I think wind and thunderstorms probably are the 2 most negatively impacting weather conditions effecting productiving while snow actually being helpful to offensive production (defenses can't make cuts and react as well in snow). Any insights or stats on the subject?
