Going back over my lineup this morning. My def/st were way down the FBG projected list (CAR and OAK) and I didn't have any reason to feel differently. Scoured the available Team Ds and saw MIN sitting there, at home, vs. Harrington in his first game.

I say to myself, I'm going to drop OAK and pick MIN up for this start.

my Addai and Adrian Peterson trounced his his SJax and Tomlinson

(no, it isnt a 2 team league...12 teamer, experienced... I traded him SJax a few years ago and won the championship because of it.. then my team hit rock bottom last year.. had 1st pick and added AD)

 
Started off today already down 74 points because I'm going against Manning, Reggie Wayne, and Vinatieri. But thankfully, C. Benson and Jamal Lewis didn't do much for him, and Lee Evans had a bad day.

Good outings for me from Roethlisberger, T. Henry, and W. Parker put me right back in the mix. Roy Williams was a little disappointing in terms of yardage, but he scored so I'm not complaining there. Now I'm only down 14 points. His team is done, and I've still got J. Witten, L. Fitzgerald, and the Ravens D to go. Things are looking much better tonight. :lmao:

 
LT didn't have his usual day but still got 25 points for me.

Kitna rocked the house for 28.

Minny D came out!!! I took them on the FBG DTBC recommendation and they scored 2 TDs!!!!

Right now I lead by 28 points with TO left in my lineup.

I destroyed the team with Big Ben and I still have Gore, Heap and Shayne Graham left tomorrow night.

 
I made the right call starting Romo over Kitna and starting Peterson and Portis and left F. Taylor on the bench. Plus Minn defense with 2 TD's.

 
As a Browns homer, people laughed all week about how I started Braylon Edwards, Jamal Lewis, and Kellen Winslow this week :(

Well, I also started Tony Romo, Ben Roethlisberger, Steve Smith, Andre Johnson, Lamont Jordan, Adrian Peterson, and the Minnesota Defense this year. Everyone in my league now thinks I'm Nostradamus :)

Total domination in both league this week. :ninja:

Da Wabbits rule the WHFL (family league) in Week 1!!!

119 points this week----Romo(34 pts) & Witten, LT, APeterson (Mn), Roy Williams, Berrian, Santonio Holmes, Kasay and stuck with Seattle defense. Bragging rights for 1 week at least!!! Now must hit the waiver wire for week 2.

169 points ties a record for our league which is over a decade old. I scored that many and still left 111 points on the bench (Kitna, Jordan, Curry, Buffalo D, etc.)

I just won my game by .1!!!!! :excited: :suds: - Essentially 1 yard!!!!

I couldn't believe the luck I was having tonite.

Opponent had Housh & BAL defense. I had Heap.

Heap was nothing tonite and then got the TD at the end called back due to a terrible call.

Ed Reed goes back of all people and returns a punt for a TD.

The Housh gets that little flare and goes in.

All compounded by the fact that I sat Portis for Jacobs, so I've been kicking myself for the last 24 hours...

Started Min D (29 pts), TO (20.7 pts), Ronald Curry (19.3 pts) and Lamont Jordan (21.9 pts).

All week my opponent kept laughing at me because I was starting two Raiders.

My only none-money league, also ended up being lowest scoring game.Had a 4-pt lead going into the last game against Vernon Davis. (league rules 2 pts per catch for TEs, 1 pt for every 10 yards)Vernon Davis catch on first drive. (uh... crap)Vernon Davis 2nd catch sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter, game tied. (he needs 10 yards to get a point, no partial points)Still tied... still tied... am I going to pull this off????(I own the tiebreaker, Steve Smith vs. Drew Brees)Still no Vernon Davis, mwahahaahaha. My 4 pt lead evaporated but I won on a tiebreaker.
 
3 leagues, 3 wins. The sweetest was my keeper league, Boldin, Housh, and Edge led me to victory, I was down by 20 points going into the the game last night. :(

For all the clowns who started Benson, I sat him for MBIII and Benson was drafted as my No 2 back. I just knew he was going to struggle against SD run D, which most of you should've. Also went up against Plax and won.

 
In my 8 team PPR league, my draft strategy payed off.....

Despite SJax as my first pick, the combo of Steve Smith, Chad Johnson & Antonio Gates (w/ a little help from Pitt's defense) gave me a W this week.

 
Sweet Jesus Almighty!! Man my team Kicked A## this week. I had the first pick in our redraft and decided to go WR/WR on the 2/3 turn. I also was able to get Romo in round 7. Check out my lineup from the past week.

WR: Harrison/Steve Smith (Caro)/Boldin

TE: Witten

K: Elam

D: Blitzburg

I put up a record number of points in our PPR league. I'm talking all sorts of smack this week! :gang2:

I'm in 2 money leagyes and I won in both leagues and scored the week high score in both.

League 1

E. Manning, Alexander, Peterson, Portis, Owens, R. Moss, Witten and MIN Defense

League 2 (Keeper)

Kitna, Parker, Henry, Peterson, Jordan, Wayne, Coles, MIN Defense

These were my studs of the week and got me the high score in both leagues. So...I rule........for this week any way. Next week I'll probably be complaining in the Week 2 whining thread.
