Those are only based on stats. I didn't focus in on any of these players while watching the game, but I thought I would use them to get this thread started.

Who do you think is a defensive pick-up worth having?

I doubt Durant is available in most IDP heavy leagues - but yes he is definitely worth snagging. I was also very poleased with Laurinaitas' production yesterday. He was a hyped rookie so he is most likely rostered as well.

Chillar & Afalava looked very good, and make a lot of sense to add. And they got snapped up.

Davis/Durant/Finnegan/Tulloch were all already rosters in my IDP, which is very deep - start 11 dynasty.

If Durant is on your wire, just take him.

As for a deep WW pick up, try Derek Cox CB JAX. He is a rookie and is starting at CB for the Jags. He was a ballhawk in the preseason IIRC and picked one off against Indy. Also got a fumble recovery. Since he is a rookie, he may have more balls come his way. There is a thread here somewhere about him.

the saints were in the backfield pretty much all game. iirc, the only sack came from vilma on a blitz. my hat's off to stafford as he stood in the pocket and didn't panic. they were in such a hole for much of the game that the running game was pretty much abandoned. there is some rumor about grant and smith's suspensions being rescinded because of the viking players successfully avoiding theirs.

Not according to Briggs.Barnett wasn't replaced by Chillar.The last play it was Chillar and Barnett at LB. They like Hawk on run downs and Chillar on pass downs. Chillar may replace Hawk not Barnett. This is only Barnett's first game back. Give him 2 weeks.

From what I saw Barnett didn't get hurt......he is still recovering from his knee injury and I think that he was not beating Chiller to the punch which is why the tackle numbers were not there for Barnett

You sure Brooks plays outside if he signs?I don't know that he has the legs to do so anymore. Urlacher had lost a step and could still roam the middle so I'd be tempted to keep Briggs doing those things on the outside that Brooks can no longer do.

My claims are in for Ellison and Chillar, in that order. Nothing else available on any of my wire's that's too intriguing, at least compared to who's already on my roster. I'm hurting for a 3rd LB in one league as I don't have much faith in any of Dhani Jones, Sims, and Maualuga behind David Harris and Larry Foote and I don't know what Timmons' status is nor do I believe I can rely on him to start just yet. I have a lethal starting 3 in my other league (Willis, Durant, Laurinaitis) but have nothing (Kevin Burnett, Adibi, Blades) behind them.

I just hope I can get one of them, obviously I'd love both but I'm not holding my breath.

Yahoo says Patrick Willis is owned in 87% of leagues.So even if 87% = 100% of IDP, then David Harris at 8% translates to between 9% and 10%.

I like Mays. I don't think he's a stud, but I'd expect lots of tackle opps, as I'm not a believer in KC, and he seemed very active in the action I saw in preseason. Bias alert:I rostered him in my dynasty league when it lookedlike he was going to beat out Zach for the job.

In my league, I grabbed Tulloch & Foote, if Delmas is out their, I'd highly recommend him as that Detroit D will get torched, I was fortunate to have him starting for week 1 after Bernard Pollard was cut off the Chiefs.

Kirk Morrison was out their as well, but Tulloch & Foote's performances as MLBs week 1 made my decision a bit easier, great complement to Ray Lewis!

Probably Smith or Davis then Chillar.But Chillar I just can't get warm about. No pun intended. I think that GB 3-4 is still new so it might require a couple of weeks before the trends are known. Davis is in a new 3-4 but he does have a history of putting up solid numbers in a 3-4 so he's a safer pick to me than Chillar, plus his D should be on the field quite a bit.The Smith numbers caught me off guard, to be honest. But I feel like there is less risk of the floor dropping out with Smith.
