***Week 1 Game Thread - Wash at NYG*** (3 Viewers)

Two years from now, we will look back at Jason Campbell like that guy at your company who stays in that VP position for 3-4 years and then all the sudden is replaced and dissapears quietly without any fanfare.... he's the guy who shows up to all the meetings dressed to the 9's (but never says anything). Nice enough guy, always brings his family to the company picnic and shows up to the break room for cake when its someone's birthday. But everyone in the company just keeps saying to themselves.. "How does he keep his job!?!? And how is he driving a Range Rover!?! He doesnt do ANYthing!? Is he even alive under that suit?"

lol @ the Giants fans booting the call for 2 guys diving on Portis late

This game is proof: college fb>>>>>pro fb. NFL turning into hockey. Boring and predictable.
 Yeah because everyone on here was just soooo pumped for the College season to start. ;)
I'm just saying like the other big 3 the NFL is now past it's prime. It's been obvious for a few years now but this game is a perfect illustration. CFB is nowhere near it's prime. Keeps getting better.

Pls take your side-tracking gibberish elsewhere. TIA.Portis owners w/4 mins left you can forget any more yardage tonight. 80 isn't bad, but no TDs OR catches blows.

Jacobs not really impessing me.... showing very little creativity out of the backfield....hes like a lemming at times. Ward def looks better when it comes to making something out of nothing.
Jacobs has 12-13 touches for 85 yds...c'mon Icon, what are you selling?Jacobs has a 2:1 advantage in touches and other than an injury which is more likely given his size, stamina, and running style, Jacobs will be the starter throughout the season.
You can look at the stats all you want, I'm watching the game. I'm just calling what I'm seeing. I don't own ward or jacobs in any leagues...I'm not "selling" anything.I'm also not saying ward is going to win the starting job.... just making an observation on their play when there's not much to work with.
you must be  . Jacobs looks like a monster out there and Ward looks pretty ordinary.
He's looking better now that WASH D is getting worn down but early in the game looked unimpressive when he ran into traffic. ;)
For 264 lbs he seems to be weaving through traffic quite well. You see him bulldoze SS Landry on one of the first plays of the game? Seem him get shoestring tackled that prevented a 60 yd TD run? He is looking, and putting up far better numbers, than Ward. Only place that Ward looks better is catching passes, which is an area that Jacobs looks weak at. If you can get 5-6 yds per carry you don't need to catch too many passes though....

All things considered in this game, Ill take 84 yards by Portis to the bank for this game

...anyone else think Randle El puts up better numbers than Santana this year?? You heard it here first

3rd and 17 and he passes underneath in a 2 possession game... this is ridiculous.. what horrible playcalling.

3d/17 and....Campbell with the short pass! At least he's consistent.

WAS best look real seriously at drafting a QB high next year. Or maybe give Favre a call.

WOW this second half had been pathetic offensive football on both sides. The G-Men are very lucky they did not get Philly or Dallas in this game.

Does Campbell even know how many yards he need for a 1st down?

Its like he is scared to throw the ball downfield. Grow some nuts Campbell.

It is almost like the Giants are playing down to the Redskins level or something....
That is true NFC EAST football though. Tough low scoring game and throw out the records cause they mean nothing. In this case there they are both 0-0 though

LOl that I also have Jacobs. Plus Campbell and portis in one league. so if BJ gets 9 yards this drive and they kick I am money. Think it just happened.
